About this listen
Feeling exhausted by the daily grind of Type 1 diabetes?
Living with diabetes isn’t only about numbers, graphs and gadgets—it is about the hidden emotional toll, the fatigue and the burnout that often go unseen.
Beyond Burnout: The Type 1 Diabetes Guide is a compassionate companion written by someone who has lived with Type 1 for more than thirty-three years. Blending lived experience with practical, evidence-informed tools, it helps you restore motivation, build resilience and feel human again.
In this audiobook, you’ll discover how to:
- Break the cycle of diabetes burnout and regain motivation
- Balance work, family and life without guilt
- Ease the emotional burden of diabetes through mindset shifts
- Use modern technology (CGM, pumps, hybrid closed-loop) to reduce stress, not add to it
- Rebuild resilience, confidence and lasting emotional recovery
Why listeners love this audiobook:
- Real experience—guidance from someone who’s lived with Type 1 for over three decades
- Empathy, not judgement—you’ll feel supported, understood and encouraged
- Practical and actionable—clear steps that make a real difference in daily life

Not to mention incredibly positive , despite some of your points and topics.
While speaking primarily to diabetes, much of what he says applies and is of value in many other areas and I found myself relating to a great deal of it, due to both ADHD and the more recent situation with complicated grief.
Thoroughly enjoyed it and very glad I gave it a listen.
A very positive approach managing diabetes
