About this listen

Six years after the Marquil Mansion burned to the ground, Willow Village tried to pick up the pieces. Moving on from a scandal like that can take a toll on any community. The town’s Sheriff, Crispen Zellar and the newly Widowed Zia Dreyfuss ran off into the sunset leaving Lucinda Zellar, a Senior at Willow High essentially orphaned and alone. Now, in 2004, Lucinda has followed in her father’s footsteps, gaining popularity and merit as the town’s newest acting Sheriff.

Alice Pain, her husband Cody and her sister Emily entered Willow Village with big plans. The Sage Grove Mortuary had been left solely to Alice after her grandfather’s death. Though she had no intentions of opening the funeral home for business, her husband had given her the great idea of making it into a one-night immersive experience for ghost hunters and thrill seekers alike. Sage Grove and the surrounding land had a history fraught with death, ghosts and a curse that may or may not be real.

Lucinda can’t let the newcomers complete their hotel of horrors. There’s far too much at stake. Willow Village had put all the macabre and terrifying things in their rearview… The last thing they need was to wake up the dead and activate a curse that had been dormant for the last thirty years. Gideon Marquil had been a man of his word in life, and he swore he’d return. Will Alice and her family be just what he needs to reign hell down on Willow Village, or will Lucinda find a way to stop him once and for all.
