Magnus leaves. He fights. He tries to survive.

“Can you tell me what happened tae her, how she ended?” (Magnus in 2381)

Magnus is forced to travel to an uncertain future, to fight for a throne he doesn't want. And he couldn't bring Kaitlyn because it's too dangerous by far.

So, Kaitlyn tries to live on without him. She's 263 years in the past now. Nothing but dust. But there's a time travel vessel that's been lost. And a warrior who needs to be rescued.

And sometimes, a history that 100 percent happened can still be changed. Because it's not too late.

“I don’t want any help. I just want Magnus to come home.” (Kaitlyn in 2018)

Excerpt from the book:

I clutched harder, his fingers wet with my tears. “I don’t know if I can bear it.”

He breathed out like a sigh. “If ye are nae strong enough, what will happen tae us?”

“I don’t know...”

He wriggled his fingers from my grasp and wiped the tears from my cheek. “Then ye need tae be strong enough, mo reul-iuil. We are countin’ on ye...”

1. I feel these books have been split to make more money.. for example this book is the other half of book 3, neither is a complete tale on its own.. and they are so short.. together they make 1 decent book, separate that's 2 credits for 1 book and I really feel ripped off.
2. While the story is good and I am so interested to know what happens, I am Soo put off by Keira Stevens, I mean she is a good American narrator however she totally destroys the Scottish accent, it sounds a bit like a Kiwi (New Zealander) with lock jaw 😳🤢 and as more than half is in Scottish accent it can be incredibly grating. The bits Shane East narrate do save the whole thing..
But between the extra expense and the shocking accent I don't think I will continue with this series unless they are combined together.. if money is no object and you have no idea what a Scottish accent really sounds like.. go ahead listen to them all.
