Vielleicht ist es angesichts des aktuellen Verhaltens radikaler Islamisten ganz hilfreich, sich vor Augen zu führen, wie Christen in den Kreuzzügen - und von einem solchen handelt das Gedicht - seinerzeit mit ihren muslimischenGegnern umgingen.
