Story
In late summer of 2012, millionaire landowner Göran Lundblad went missing from his farm in Sweden. When a search yielded nothing, and all physical evidence had seemingly disappeared, authorities had little to go on - except a disturbing phone call five weeks later from Göran’s daughter Maria. She was sure that her sister, Sara, was somehow involved. At the heart of the alleged crime: Sara’s greed, her father’s land holdings, and his bitter feud with Sara’s idler boyfriend. With no body, there was no crime - and the case went as cold and dark as the forests of southern Sweden.

There’s no doubt the killer is trying to send a message, but what do the flowers mean? And can Eli figure out the killer’s motive before another murder occurs?

What are our chances of actually experiencing one? What do we fear most and why? And when the worst does happen, what comes next? In this wise and layered audiobook, Leigh talks intimately with people who've faced the unimaginable, from terrorism to natural disaster to simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Loved it but difficult to listen to
If you could sum up Before the Fall in three words, what would they be?
Loved the storyline but really struggled with the narrator.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Before the Fall?
When JJ spoke with Scott for the first time after the accident.
What three words best describe Jeff Harding’s performance?
Unaffected. Frustrating. Difficult.
Any additional comments?
The story line was great, though a bit frustrated with the end. Would have liked a bit more closure. Apart from the narration, it was good.

Brilliant
So well written and beautifully narrated. I loved this book, particularly the way the story unfolded- the main story with a mystery and then an in depth look at each character; their motives, their flaws etc ..I didn't see the ending until very near the end( a refreshing change). Bravo!!!!!👏🏻👏🏻

Good story, narration distractingly bad
This narrator's female voice is absolutely horrible. He makes every woman sound like a weak, whiny, nag ... this is the first time that the narration has been bad enough to make me comment on it in a review. I will avoid this narrator at all costs, it ruins the book.

The story was decent but it didn’t really seem to end in any sort of conclusive or satisfying way. The ending, or lack of, ruined the whole story for me.

Terrible narrator. Good story.
A good story was let down by the monotone drone of the narrator. Why was he chosen to recite this story? There was about as much life in him as my toothbrush! Such a shame as the story was an interesting character play and neatly told.

Kept me listening
I was recommended this book by a friend and I really enjoyed it.
It kept me listening and wanting to know what happened. I had a few ideas of what I thought happened but didn’t work it out.
I found the narrator easy to listen to and I would definitely recommend the book.

Good Story, Poor Narration
Nice idea for a story but didn't like the narrator much at all. Perhaps it was being accustomed to Stephen Fry reading Sherlock for so long but just didn't like his voice in this, particularly initially.
