Good story, a bad narrator.
It's a pity it takes from the enjoyment of the book.

Tried so hard to keep listening but narrator was terrible. so boring to listen to. no feel for the story at all. felt like she was reading a kids story book

I tortured myself into finishing this listen. I expected more from this author. The Annie Logan Character was somewhat fleshed out and interesting, as were some of her support characters. While I became invested in the outcome for some of the characters, other characters had a barely developed presence, and felt more like window dressing. Most of the dialogue written between characters had no flow like a genuine conversation and lacked authenticity. I was ultimately disappointed by the wrap up and conclusion of this one. I was hoping for a more satisfying ending.
The narration was very lacking... and also disappointing, as the narrator has over a decade of experience...
The Tone & Pitch were both Flat, Texture/timbre was not evident. The delivery style lacked emotion, energy &/or drama. As well as poorly written, the narrated delivery of conversations (dialogue) between characters totally lacked personality.
Would I recommend, well I suggest you listen to the preview, or as this one's currently free, the first 5-10 mins. You never know, you might like it more than I did.
