Michelle Sparks is perfection! As always. Dahlia has become my favourite MFC in the Rinaverse. Loved her sass and fire. This book was so much funnier than I thought it would be too. Loved it from start to finish!

This book was an easy read, with some dark romance themes. What really stood out was the audio performance, the story didn’t have major twists and turns or the thrill factor which was surprisingly nice.

Narrators did a good job except it was hard to distinguish between characters but the voice is like gravelly butter perfection. The story was an exciting and terrifying journey. Not for the faint of heart but if yr reading Rina Kent then you should already know. It ain’t for everyone re the trigger warnings. Not a lot of hockey but just enough. It’s frickin madness these MMcs. And I can’t wait to read Jude’s story his character arc should be explosive.

As always, the story was fantastic. Nice twists, some I saw coming and some that were shocking. Love a good redemption arc that doesn’t feel forced.
I’ll admit I initially compared it to REU: Kane is Aidan, Preston is Cole, Jude is Ronan. However, while the personalities are somewhat similar, the storyline is so different that they took on a whole new caste.
Michelle Sparks is awesome as always. Fell in love with her from Haunting Adeline and love her in everything I’ve heard.
Corvin King has a great voice. He does dispassionate and cold so well and then fills the voice with heightened emotion when relevant, so brilliantly matching the main character. My only critique is that he didn’t differentiate the voices well. When he was talking with his father I struggled to figure out who was talking, as well as the inner monologue vs actual conversation.
Overall, a fantastic listen I’d highly recommend, can’t wait for the next one

I’ll admit, the beginning felt a bit standard and slow, and Chapter 6 had me seriously wondering what is going on?! 😅 But once the romance between the characters started to deepen, it really drew me in. There’s a sweet, almost tender quality to the way their relationship unfolds even amidst all the dark and twisty moments. And the twists… I did not see some of them coming!
Also, I absolutely despised Kane’s father. On the flip side, the side characters were amazing—Jude and Violet especially caught my attention. I’m so curious about where their story is going and can’t wait for more.

I read this via Kindle and listened to the audiobook simultaneously, and honestly? No complaints. The narration was perfection. Corvin King’s voice is just chef’s kiss he brought the character to life in the best way.

Love the narrators, could listen to them all day. Corvin doesn't sound much different when voicing different characters so a bit hard to tell who's talking. Otherwise great.

This is a master class in dark romance and trust me when I say it’s everything we adore about the Rinaverse and more. A dark hockey romance laced with secret society tension and dark academia spice? I was in from the very first page. But even I wasn’t prepared for how hard and fast I fell for Kane Davenport and Dahlia Thorne, his little Wildflower (Rina always nails the nicknames).

Kane is the deliciously dark hockey captain of the Vipers. Part of one of the four founding families of Greystone Ridge, he’s caught in a high-stakes web of power plays and secrets. Dahlia is trying to uncover the truth behind her foster sister Violet’s coma—and finds herself tangled up in Kane’s world, believing him to be the only green flag in a sea of red. Spoiler: he’s not. But what she does find is a hunger she never expected… and maybe, just maybe, something deeper.

This book is equal parts plot, spice, character depth, and pure emotional chaos. It’s dark and twisted in the best way. It’s up there with Eina’s most iconic releases, but with its own unique magic.

The banter between Kane, Preston, and Jude is peak Rina brilliance—dark humour and snarky texts that’ll make you laugh out loud. And Dahlia vs Kane? Iconic. Their barbs, their heat, their connection… just, wow.

And what an absolute powerhouse performance from Corvin King and Michelle Sparks. Corvin’s “wildflower” and “baby” will melt you into puddles, —every line dripped with heat and emotion. And Michelle? The perfect Dahlia. The sass, the steel, the cracks of vulnerability—just incredible. Their performances in Chapter 31 and 32 had me sobbing.

This story is layered and powerful, with elements of grief and guilt while Rina taking us diving headfirst into obsession and deliciously dark desires. Rina’s world-building is next level, and I can already tell Preston and Jude are going to ruin me in the best way.

There aren’t enough stars in the galaxy for this masterpiece— Infinity out of 5. 10/10 would recommend. Rina thank you for this epic masterpiece: Kane and Dhalia’s story forever lives in my soul.
