About this listen

‘Her best book yet’ – Harlan Coben, author of Fool Me Once

The million-copy bestselling Queen of Twists, Alice Feeney, returns with a gripping and deliciously dark thriller about marriage . . . and revenge.

Author Grady Green is having the worst best day of his life.

Grady calls his wife as she’s driving home to share some exciting news. He hears Abby slam on the brakes, get out of the car, then nothing. When he eventually finds her car by a cliff edge, the headlights are on, the driver door is open, her phone is still there . . . but his wife has disappeared.

A year later, Grady is still overcome with grief and desperate to know what happened to Abby. He can’t sleep, and he can’t write, so he travels to a tiny Scottish island to try to get his life back on track. Then he sees the impossible: a woman who looks exactly like his missing wife.

Wives think their husbands will change, but they don’t.
Husbands think their wives won’t change, but they do.

‘Magnetic and jaw-dropping’ – Mary Kubica, bestselling author of Local Woman Missing

‘Unforgettable’ – Chris Whitaker, bestselling author of We Begin at the End

REALLY Enjoyable!

Clever story and i love the world and imagery it created. Loved the main character. It was thrilling and creepy without being overly offensive or shocking. Just slowly builds but was entertaining from the start. I wish it wasn’t over. Oh and the narrators were exceptional.

Amazing but…

Love Feeneys story telling, however I wouldn’t bother reading if you have already read paper scissors rock. The same twists and story just slightly different.

A cleverly written story which keeps you thinking until the very last sentence. Read it!

Unexpected twist

Great narration, surprise twist, love the unpredictabilty. What happened to Columbo though? Not many likeable characters though, maybe that was the point.

Surprising ending

I read the reviews about this book before purchasing it and some were like “predictable end, the twist was as usual”… no! Definitely not! I loved the twist and the end was a shock for me. I really enjoyed the story and the performance!

Wasn’t too ugly

Fast paced and really kept me entertained , glad I went with the audible version or I may have found it less enjoyable, pretty tame for a thriller

I rolled my eyes too many times

I sighed, eye rolled and scoffed so many times during this. Several times I nearly just gave in.
It’s fine to listen to but the story is rather far fetched.
