Publisher's Summary

Billy Winston’s family is going to see him happy and in love, if it’s the last thing they do.

No one deserves a "happily ever after" quite as much as the second oldest Winston brother and his lady love Claire McClure (a.k.a. Scarlet St. Claire). Cruelty and circumstance tore them apart almost 20 years ago. Secrecy and bitterness kept them separated.

But do you know who's tired of their separation and stubbornness? Everyone. Especially Billy Winston’s family. And now, they're going to do something about it.

Well-meaning interference means the star-crossed lovers can’t stop tripping over each other in the hills of Tuscany, the catacombs of Rome, and the waterways of Venice. Billy and Claire find themselves thrown together and at the mercy of the Winston siblings’ shenanigans.

But will their forced proximity bring them together or push them even further apart?

This second-chance romance brings back the entire Winston gang playing cupid in one last story of love, hijinks, and family collusion.

Beard Necessities is a full-length contemporary romantic comedy, and can be listened to as a stand-alone, but it’s probably best to listen to it after the previous books in the Winston Brothers series.

Thank GOD!!

I have soooo loved this series! Those Winston boys have captured (and melted) my heart since their introduction in the 'Knitting in the City' series.

But Billy! Billy! I just have no words! He's at a whole different level. So tragic... so honourable... so protective & loving... so goddam amazing. He stole my heart from the beginning (my hubby should be worried!!).

Thank God he finally had his happy ending... and Claire as well. One couldn't happen without the other after all.

Thank you, Penny! 🥰

The Winston Brothers Book 7

Loved this book. Billy and Scarlet finally got their story. I loved the ups and downs just like real life and how the Winston crew finished up. Great finish for the series.

Loved it more than Cletus loves his sausage.

I second all the good reviews of this final book and of the entire series. So satisfying and, while I am genuinely sad it’s over, I’m also looking forward to listening to all the books again in the future. This is a series that will stay funny and fantastic for years to come.

Now to go nurse my book hangover...somehow.

***SPOILER ALERT*** This book was amazing

So grateful that Penny didn't make us work too hard/worry too much throughout this book for the happy ending Billy and Scarlette so richly deserved. Book six was heartbreaking and it was tough waiting for this one to be released, but it was so worth the wait. I loved the epilogue most of all because we get a glimpse into the lives of all the siblings.

In her author's note Penny talks about missing having the Winston boys in her life and I get that! These characters feel like family. Chris and Joy brought these stories to life for me - they are incredible narrators!

A beautiful ending

LOVED the series. LOVED this book. It was such a beautiful ending and wonderful wrap up of the 7 books. I started with the Knitting in the City series which I loved and I love this one even more. I love the way all the characters develop through each book. I hope that men like the Winston's exist. I know that I hope to be able to instill the same values and sweetness in my son and daughter as Bethany Winston

😊

I love the series and was a bit worried about what to expect because of all the other not so great reviews. Goes to show you - don't believe everything you read. I will miss the brothers and I'm happy they are all happy.

Sad it’s at an end. I will miss this family.

I started listening with Knitting in the City and then had to do the Winston Brothers. I will miss these guys. Love these stories and this well crafted family. I feel like they have become my friends. I’ll be book mourning for a few days for sure.

Perfection!!

This series is sheer perfection!! Beard necessities was a wonderful way to this gift up with a bow. Thank you Penny Reid for making such down to earth, charismatic, funny, lovable, and real characters. It has been a joy to feel part of this family. To anyone reading this wondering if you should read this series I have a couple of notes for you:
1) only read these books if you love intelligent writing that grabs hold of you and makes it hard to put the book down.
2) read these books only if you like to laugh, cry, and become otherwise consumed by the book you’re reading.
3) Read this series if you want to fall in love with the characters and their trials and tribulations of moving through their lives.
4) just enjoy and let yourself go!!
Thanks again Penny Reid!! This was by far the best series I have ever read. I will be reading these again and again. What a joy!!

Brilliant book and series.

So sad to see my beloved Winston series end but I can revisit them at any time. Love Penny and her narrators. Only the best.
This last installment was more complex than I expected and very enjoyable.
Thank you!!!

Good

I enjoyed this, but it wasn’t as good as the prequel book. I look forward to Penny Reid’s next release.
