Bruce Lee's daughter illuminates her father's most powerful life philosophies and how we can apply his teachings to our daily lives.

Empty your mind; be formless, shapeless like water

Bruce Lee is a cultural icon, world renowned for his martial arts and film legacy. But Lee was also a deeply philosophical thinker, believing that martial arts are more than just an exercise in physical discipline - they are a perfect metaphor for personal growth.

In Be Water, My Friend Shannon Lee shares previously untold stories from her father's life along with the concepts at the core of his teachings. Each chapter reveals a lesson from Bruce Lee, expanding on the foundation of his iconic 'be water' philosophy to reveal a path to an enlightened way of being.

This is an inspirational call to action to consider our lives with new eyes and a testament to Lee's unique power to ignite our imaginations and transform our lives.

Insightful

Shannon Lee has captured the essence of what it means to be human. She is continuing the legacy of Bruce Lee, in a style that carries the spirit and understanding of who Bruce Lee was and what he stood for - she also carries a rare insight as Bruce Lee’s daughter, as well as someone who has lived and studied “the way” of being. Shannon is her own person, I respect her as a martial artist and friend to fellow people. Thank you for an amazing tome of understanding, knowledge, and insight into what it means to be like water.

Outstanding

I was looking at purchasing the book and listening to Shannon Lee tell the story makes me more enthusiastic about buying the book and having it in my collection of books to read and my collection is very small as I have very small interests but a wide view of the world. This book has made me think at this stage in my life I have I am doing great but still need to change some small things to make my life more calm and less stressful on me and my family.

thank you Shannon.

Psychology 101...be strong in a cruel world.

In an attempt to sell conformation to not allow life to affect one as a psychological concept, the author failed to respect it as a Bruce Lee biography. Stuff according to Shannon would have been a more appropriate heading. Low key writing and and poor word choice at times.

Watered down rehashed non sense.

Seems like a money grab. The warrior within is a much better insight into how Bruce became BL that we know now. This is simply a rehash of the same old content that was available nearly 50 years ago. The paper back is $$$. I cannot express how rubbish this is. Do yourself a favour listen to the warrior within or read the tao of gung fu. skip this crap. wish I could get a refund.
