Publisher's Summary

“Cross one, cross all.” That’s the Brayshaw way.

She should have realized this before sliding into our world with secrets too big to bury. She didn’t, and now the target is on her back.

The day her lies came crashing down, I should have forced her out. Instead, I locked her in, and with the promise I would never be hers.

I resisted, fought against us. I caved. I tasted what became my newfound favorite flavor and fell hard for the little liar.

But then the depth of her treachery reveals itself, and with it a reminder.

Our town is a twisted place, and with truth comes trouble.

In the blink of an eye, my world is split at its core, and I’m faced with an impossible decision, one that leads to a single outcome: betrayal.

This is Captain Brayshaw's book and the fourth book in the Brayshaw series.

Captain!

This book was all and more I could have asked for from Captain's book. Victoria is not who we thought she was. There is so much more to her. There are a lot of ups and downs along the way. I love the glimpses of Zoey who is such a cutie pie. The narrators did an absolutely amazing job!

Captain and Victoria; oh my heart.

This book was everything; I love Captain; have done from book one, so, finally, have his story and all the in your-face-twists, well, dam woman? I bow to your storytelling perfection. I read this in one sitting, I could not put it down, the story of Victoria and the life she lived was so heartbreaking, and her involvement throughout was something that made me smile, she one sneaky girl! But the shocker of it all was her involvement with Captian daughter and everything that leads to that, I'm not going to spoil it because you need to read this to find out what? Which I promise will have you guessing until the very end.

Pretty Boring 😴

First of all the male narrator pronounces things wrong or not how the other narrators have in the past which is a pet peeve of mine. Second I am just not into this storyline and the characters personalities. Captain is too abrasive in this book which I didnt really get from the first 3 books. Victoria comes off as too passive for me. The story is meh and pretty boring. I never look forward to reading it and wish I was done already. I might have to return this one!

I love Victoria and raven!

So I love Victoria’s story... she went through so much and is so good and strong. I love these characters but gah Cap just does nothing to deserve her! Spoiler... Victoria has real trauma and he never acknowledges it! Like wtf he he’s she’s in a weird sexual position and doesn’t help her! I don’t get it and he just does nothing to redeem himself. Victoria is perfect and takes care of everyone and deserves someone who would do anything for her and that’s just not him. I hope in future books it shows the girls getting everything they want.

I didn’t get it.

I could not follow the parentage of the players and their significance because that is what this book is about. Victoria not only is Ravens sister but also the one that raised Zoey and suffered a creepy upbringing and had a stocker and Zoey’s blood mom crushed on her. Captain totally annoyed me in this book so much even the HEA didn’t help his case.

Little Blonde Brayshaw

This is book four of the Brayshaw Boys Series. Captain and Victoria story. This book should not be read or listened to until 1-3 have been completed. At the end of book 3 Reign of Brayshaw the Brayshaw tell Victoria she will be moving in with them. so in the beginning of this one it's where that takes place. Raven and Madman are now back. Captain see Victoria and when he gets to introduce Zoey to Victoria is where the story really starts and puts Captain and Victoria on thin ice to becoming enemies to lovers type of romance. Charles Carr was the Narrator for Captain and he read all of his chapters. This is the first time I have listened to a story from him and I love his gravely voice. definitely a fan now. Stella Bloom was the Narrator for Victoria and she read all of her chapters. I can never get enough of her whispery voice. and her male voice she does to say what the male characters are saying is amazing I could listen to a whole book just in that voice as the males. Both of the Narrators played the characters very well.

Love author

I live the brayshaw series. It’s so well written I loved the characters. Raven and maddoc will always be my favorite of all time. I just couldn’t get into captains story at all. It probably has more to do with hating Victoria’s character. I was more excited to hear about Royce (my second fav) book and the idea of bass returning.

I don’t know 🤔

I’m not new to Meagan Brandy angst but this was the most uneasy I’ve felt with one of her books. It’s hard to explain why without giving up any spoilers but all I can say is there are different types of cheating. Emotional cheating (being in love with someone else, trusting someone over you, wanting to be with someone else, kissing and spending time with someone else in secret) to me is just as bad if not worse than sleeping with someone else. That said Captain was a grade A jerk in this book and in reality I still don’t feel he made up for it by the end of the book. He so does not deserve Victoria. Many times I wished she would hook up with Royce just because I hated Captain that much. Victoria is not perfect. I think the whole secrets thing that really everyone does is annoying but I get why they do that because all these guys are so untrusting that you can’t just tell them something, they have to see it with their own eyes. Unfortunately I just can’t give this a 5 star review because the Hero out of all the poop he puts the heroine through should fully redeem himself by the end of the book and personally I just didn’t feel like he did that or did enough. Good news is we get a teaser of Royce’s book and it sounds greats. I just hope he’s not as stupid as Captain.

Don’t waste your credit....get ready for the rant!

I wasn’t a massive fan of books 1-3 but they weren’t terrible either, and after what happened in book 3 I was abit excited that this book was about Captain as he was such a nice guy and deserved it. In this book When I say he’s a massive d**k I mean he’s a massive d**k. I honestly don’t know that the author was thinking with this one and I was so disappointed. Too many unanswered questions, too many plot holes, too many characters that were not explained correctly. These are supposed to be 18 year olds for crying out loud! With the amount of parent swapping, child abuse, teenage pregnancies, murders, rape, self sabotage, bullying, abductions, violence and lies I’ve read in this book I think even I need therapy never mind her characters. With every awful thing that happens they are literally like “mehh” shrugging their shoulders. DINT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON CHAPTER 35🤬🤯🤮 This book could have been so much more than it was and I am bitterly disappointed.
