Publisher's Summary

Everyone knows Megan and Cashol hit it off the moment they resonated...didn't they? But when Josie goes into labor, an offhand comment makes Megan point out to her friend that no, things weren't always so smooth. Just because resonance is immediate doesn't mean it's immediately perfect.

But also...just because it's an instant bond doesn't mean it's wrong. Sometimes it's very, very right.

Contains mature themes.

The Ice Barbarians are losing their charm

Sadly, I could not finish this audiobook. I used to love the Ice Barbarians for what it was, formulaic HEA easy to listen to with some humor sci-fi romance. Now Ms. Dixon is trying to bring a more serious aspect to what she has already created of her perfect McDonald's meal brand of sci-fi and unfortunately, it just doesn't work for me. Where Ice Barbarians used to be an automatic buy without even reading the blurb, I think I will give it a pass in the future and then closely investigate the storyline. I got to chapter nine in this audiobook and was so annoyed with the immaturity and idiocy of both characters when they had resonated, acting like they had some kind of choice in the matter, followed by very awkward sexual advances towards one another, (I was cringing), I finally turned it off while I was doing the ironing, (so it was that bad I would rather have silence). The beauty of the Ice Barbarian series was that there was no question of HEA with an alien. So why mess with the formula of a bestselling series that was perfectly laid out on this ice world with no-choice-HEA-resonance? If I want serious self-reflection in sci-fi romance, I look elsewhere.

Dracula on Ice Planet?

The female narrative performing the male characters sounds like it was from a 1960s Count Dracula movie.

Story was great - love the Flashbacks

I seem to always enjoy Ruby's story as they are diverse and she does a great job switching it up periodically. I really enjoy how this story turned out but what happened to Holly Jackson? I own over 400 Audible books and Holly's original IPB are my absolute favorites to listen to over and over. But she changed how she narrated the characters and gave them a weird, stilted accent. It detracted from the story to such a point that it's worse than the ones Felicity Munroe does. Actually it sounds like Holly was trying to imitate Felicity's accent. It was perfect to begin with - we've all complained about Felicity's odd narration. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't do this again. IPB original series was the gold standard for narration with Holly and Mason Lloyd, don't continue to mess it up.

Megan and Count Dracula

The story was enjoyable but I had to switch to my kindle to finish it because of the narrator’s decision to make Cashol sound like a terrible Count Dracula impersonator. I don’t know how it ever got approved. It was so distracting that I couldn’t finish the book. Usually Hollie Jackson does a good job with the male characters but this was just so so bad. Just so so bad.

Ice Planet

Book 18 of the Ice Planet Barbarians series... Mason Lord is one of my all-time favorite narrators and Ruby Dixon only the best in Alien Romance... I like the way the characters interact with each other from one book to the other... it brings the whole story together. A group of human females and a group of blue aliens males

Very good

This one made me cry. It was so good. Ruby Dixon, you have done it again! Next, please :)
