Max "Kill It Again" MacKilligan has no idea what one of her own is doing with all these criminal humans until she realizes that Ze has no idea who or what he is. Or exactly how much power he truly has.

But Max is more than happy to bring this handsome jaguar shifter into her world and show him everything he's been missing out on. A move that might be the dumbest thing she's ever done once she realizes how far her enemies will go to wipe her out. Too bad for them Ze is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her alive...and honey badgers are just so damn hard to kill!

Max "Kill It Again" MacKilligan

I love shifter books, and I always look forward to this author's new releases. Badger to the Bone was exactly what I was expecting - fun to read and listen to, filled with crazy characters, Max...... and where there's Max violence is sure to follow. She is one tough honey badger shifter willing to dish out retribution to whoever deserves it. Or maybe just because she's in the mood and she loves messing with people's heads.

Badger to the Bone has so many secondary characters from this authors previous books - so there are a lot of characters to keep track of for someone maybe not so familiar with her other books. Having read them all, I love seeing all these characters pop up through the storyline. Overall the storyline is very light from the romance angle, but Ze' adds a lot of amusement to the storyline with his personality and mannerisms ( I love how he messes with Dutch ). Charlie is still my favourite character of the 3 sisters, but all 3 books in The Honey Badger Chronicles are really good.

Charlotte Kane, I have loved listening to her narrate books 2 & 3 of this series - I really enjoy listening to her, she performs all of the characters really well. 5/5 for her performance!!

Loved listening to this in audible.

Loved listening to this in audible.
Narrator did well and was good as there was a lot of voices to deal with but not fantastic. A couple of times something is repeated twice which throws you out of the story.
Just so enjoyable and quite a few laugh out loud moments that had my husband looking at me strangely.
My only big no no is the use of one specific word starting cu** that makes me cringe. Bad enough in a book but in audible, just no.
BOOK REVIEW
Yes, I had some wonderful laugh out loud moments reading this, I thoroughly enjoyed the ride right till the end but I just felt it missed the mark by a small margin.
There is supposed to be a romance between Max, the third sister and Zeze, a cat who didn’t know he was a cat. What we didn’t get was a romance. What happens between Ze and Max was just pitifully poor. No sparks, no heat and just no connection.
That will not stop me getting the audible version though.
Though I did thoroughly enjoy this story and appreciated how well everything came together in the first half, the second half, though entertaining to the end, just lacked romance and connection between Max and Ze.
A twist at the end I didn’t see coming, one or two problems dealt with, unfortunately Freddie was not one of them and new characters to be written about.
You really cannot appreciate this book as a standalone. There are too many pop in characters that will mean nothing, if you have not first read the Pride series to understand some of the other characters and the then the two previous books in the Honey Badger series.
