About this listen

Blitzkrieg Europa 2nd edition is a completely remodeled, rewritten story of the original version, with 50% more content.

September 1, 1939.

Following a year and a half of international tensions and demands from the aggressive Fuhrer of the German Third Reich, Adolf Hitler, Poland is invaded by the German Third Reich, triggering the start of the Second World War. German armies advance over the border and smash Polish forces with their Panzer forces and their powerful Luftwaffe, while the Soviet Union watches with glee, eventually joining into the spil by launching an invasion of its own.

A few months later, war erupts in the West as the Wehrmacht launches its invasion of France. The German forces again smash any opposition before them, quickly overwhelming both the French and the British Armies. As his Wehrmacht is poised to finish the British Expeditionary Force (BEF) in Dunkirk, Adolf Hitler orders his tanks forces to stop before they go in for the kill because he thinks he can negotiate with Churchill and get the British to accept defeat.

But in a weird twist of fate, the Fuhrer falls ill and is incapacitated for a day and a half. General Gerd von Runstedt, the Commander-in-Chief of the German forces and also leading the Western offensive, goes against his master’s wishes. He orders Guderian and the rest of the aggressive Panzer generals to attack and finish the British.

When Hitler wakes up, the BEF is gone, and Dunkirk has fallen, leaving the British Home Islands defenseless. Enraged, the Fuhrer dismisses a plethora of generals and refuses a French demand for an armistice, instead deciding to conquer all of France all the way to the Mediterranean.

This is the story of World War 2.
