Publisher's Summary

The leaves are falling, and there's a chill in the air in Willow Ridge, Missouri, the quaint, quiet Amish town where love, loyalty, and faith in the old ways are about to be put to the test.

Winds of change are blowing through Willow Ridge, and they're bringing a stranger to the Sweet Seasons Bakery. At first, widowed Miriam Lantz has misgivings about Ben Hooley, a handsome but rootless traveling blacksmith. But as she gets to know the kindhearted newcomer, she wonders if his arrival was providential. Perhaps she could find love again - if only there weren't so many obstacles in the way. With Bishop Knepp relentlessly pursuing her hand in marriage and the fate of her beloved café at stake, Miriam must listen to God and her heart to find the happiness she longs for and the love she deserves.

reader overwhelmed

this book has been an enjoyable opportunity. Susan Boise as The voice for this book was amazing! I can't wait for the next in the series and I'm going to start it now. I am on pins and needles when I have to turn the audio book off and do my real work. Always excited when I can restart the playing of this audible book. I I'm grateful for Charlotte Hubbard and her storyline. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and ideas about the Amish.

Fun and Heartwarming

What was one of the most memorable moments of Autumn Winds?

One fun parts of the story is when the Bishop gets caught in his double sided living. He got what was coming finally and was found out by one of the embarrassingly silly but no nonsense aunts. There are a lot of different Moments that I liked for different reasons.

Have you listened to any of Susan Boyce’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. I've liked them all.

Any additional comments?

This book has just the right amount of annoying people that you want to give a piece of your mind, silly people that get Under your skin, and good hearted people that warm your heart, all woven into a story that takes you away from whatever life has doled out and warms your heart.

Love Comes to all ages

Would you listen to Autumn Winds again? Why?

I really enjoyed the people and activity of Willow Ridge.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I enjoyed the main characters of Ben and Miriam. The caring and understanding to each other and her daughters were very sweet.

Which character – as performed by Susan Boyce – was your favorite?

I really enjoyed Ben's old maid aunt, Jerusalem. With being named after a Biblical city, I am sure it would really strengthen and empower you. Great in your face, strength.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Love is wasted on the young.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoy the whole series. Great characters!

Oh I Loved This!

What an absolutely wonderful book -the second in this splendid series! I have completely fallen in love with this community in the story. The Love that is represented in this book is one that all Christian women will long for. This was a gem. And has raised my standards for a man for sure (and “for certain”) So thankful for this series and can’t wait to start book 3! Loved it!

WONDERFUL GUT

Charlotte Hubbard has once again thrilled my heart with a tremendous story of simple love, the importance of family unity, and the desire to trust GOD to show the way and take care of HIS family, regardless of the challenges faced . Autumn Winds is one of a series and will not disappoint the listener. Susan Boyce has continued to bring the characters alive and real. I can't wait to listen to the next story in this series.
