I truly enjoyed listening to this novel which is a continuation of Midnight Marriage. I actually enjoyed this novel more, I’m not quite sure why as they are both excellent books.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves an historical romance. It had me in tears in parts and others I was smiling with joy.
The two main characters are the Dowager Duchess Antonia and a very tall handsome Jonathan Strange.
I’m looking forward to reading the next novel to find out what happens to their families

Antonia' next chapter, the wonderfully confident and self-possessed Johnathan, the respect paid to past characters, the old duke in particular, were all wonderfully satisfying. And all this made perfect by Alex Wyndham's characterisations, performance and just...voice. Next (Audible) book in the series already cued up ready to go.

Very well written and narrated. I didn't know however until the end that this was book 3 but it didn't matter it was still easy to follow. Johnathon's character was very likeable he was very perceptive at times which really impressed me. The verbal sparring between the two main characters made the book extremely entertaining. I highly recommend
