 Philine Berger, eine prominente Internet-Aktivistin, wird in ihrem Haus erschossen aufgefunden. Noch dazu stellt sich heraus: Das Material stammt direkt aus dem Bundesverteidigungsministerium. Von den Daten fehlt allerdings jede Spur. Auch die Überprüfung von Philines Computers fördert keinen Hinweis zu Tage. Und überhaupt scheinen alle Spuren auf einmal ins Nichts zu laufen.

Zum Tatzeitpunkt befand sich allerdings ein junger Mann im Haus: Johann, ein Computerspezialist, der Philine bei der Entschlüsselung der hochbrisanten Daten helfen sollte.
