I enjoyed this book discussing to scientific approaches we are using to discover alien life. But I cant help thinking that if intelligent alien was out there why would it want to make friends with us. We are far to distructive and violent to become good buddies with ET.

I don't normally write reviews but I just loved this series about the scientific search for extraterrestrial life! I found it very thought provoking, even for someone who thinks a lot about this stuff! The episodes bring you on a journey around all the important ideas - a much needed escape - and there is an impressive line up of scientists who all add something new to the conversation. I enjoyed the balance of including the sceptical arguments - which were quite compelling - and it has led to some lively discussion in this household! Finally, I feel equipped to watch this space in the future, as there are a number of exciting astronomical developments discussed towards the end. Enjoy!

This podcast will take you on a journey to the stars - if only in your mind. What a fascinating question- are we alone in the universe? Alan Duffy guides us through the thought experiment with enthusiasm and clarity. The inclusion of so many astronomers with differing points of view was particularly valuable!

Brilliant & Thoughtful
