About this listen

Warning: Aspirant contains violence, cussing, memes, awesome references, cheesy references, and depictions of sexytimes of the normal and monster girl variety. Beware!

Where do you go when you die?

If you guessed "a hellish videogame world where you're forced to fight for your life, solve puzzles, and sustain mortal injury only to be stitched back together to do it again", congratulations! You got it in one.

Maybe that sounds kind of bad. But hear me out. Superpowers. Beautiful women at my side, some human and some decidedly not so much. And maybe, just maybe, if I survive long enough, I can find out what comes after the afterlife.

I'm not a gamer, and the cover art looks like manga which isn't my jam either. but thought I'd give it a shot. what a pleasant surprise. Ridiculous and extreme in gore and boobs, but it was also aware of its own ridiculousness which made it all fun. Not to say it was silly and pointless, there was an adventure plot too and mystery than gets slowly unraveled til the end. Almost tempted to shell out for book two. Narrator was hit and miss, and had some weird word pronunciations that were jarring, but overall he didn't detract.

Not once but twice does the main character taste his own baby batter and it grossed me out every time.

some kinks deserve to be shamed
