Publisher's Summary

He wasn't meant to be on my radar; he was definitely the off-limits guy. My brother's best friend, my friend's ex, but most of all he was my boss. Hawk Carnage resembled one thing, and one thing only. Sex. He used it, he knew it, he lived it.

Hawk owned the largest lingerie company in the world, and I was his leading lady. In business. But now business and friendship were about to be crossed. The lines blurred, and I was ready to dip my toes in the forbidden water. Because no matter how much I said I could refrain from Hawk Carnage, now was not the time. He was to be my fake fiancé. And I was about to sink into that forbidden water, with Hawk's hands clutching my sides.

Lord help me, because I was about to enjoy every moment of it. Even if it was just for fun.

Even if it would ruin everything. I was going to dive in headfirst.

✫✫ 3.75 - 4 Stars ✫✫

3.75-4 Stars I started this book thinking it was another pretend Fiancé book but to be honest it was so much more. Hawk has me from the beginning! I love a playboy who just wants to fall in love. I also love when the couple in a book has history, It really helps me fall for them. Britta is his best friends sister and his employee so you can see these authors took all these tropes and spun them into one fun and sexy story, I laughed and I swooned! I will be watching for more audiobooks by these two authors! The narration was good, both narrators are new to me and I enjoyed their work.

My Two Pennies

This is a great collaboration between these two authors. It did take me a little time but not that long to start falling for Hawk. I always enjoy that office romance/ brothers friends type tropes. The storyline held my interest throughout and we were even given a few twists and turns. As we move further into the story I was more and more intrigued with where things were heading and couldn’t find out the events fast enough. Wonderful story and I will definitely be looking into more of these two authors work in the future.

Great start

The story starts off great. Good build up. Steamy sex scenes. But the male narrator didn’t do it for me. I groaned every time this part started. Ending was rushed.

Good story. Male narrator's lisp was distracting

Author was great. Female narrator was good. Male narrator needs to lose the lisp. Ladies man? Alpha dog? Maybe if the character was gay or bisexual. When Hawk had his aggressive moments I pictured him with lips pursed and a hand on his hip. Snap-snap-snap! The story was good and a little unpredictable. I'd like to see books about the four Valentino brothers.

Possibly 2.5 stars, but I'll round up just because

This one started out really good. I liked the fake romance theme and was in to that. However, towards the end, there were too many conflicts and plot twists that kept popping up. I had multiple times where I had to rewind the story because the twists came out of nowhere and I was certain that I had missed how we got to that plot-point. But no, they just came up. Another issue I had was the male narrator. Nothing really wrong with him that I could pinpoint, I just didn't think his parts worked. Overall, an okay book, one that I'd recommend reading rather than listening to.

Hard to stop listening!!

I really enjoyed listening to the people who narrates this book. Biff who narrates for Hawk has a sexy voice. I liked that Have and Britta where on the same level and helped each other out.

Really good story!!

The story in this book was really enjoyable in that you didn't get bogged down with too many details. It was funny, sexy, and just a good listen. I couldn't wait to hear the ending. The only thing I didn't like was the male narrator. His voice did not do the male character justice. He tried to be raspy and sexy but it came out artificial. The voice did not fit the character description. With that being said, it was such a good book I listened to it twice.

Lite romance with more.

Thought this was going to be a light romance. Was pleased to see there was more to it. Hawk was best friends with her brothers. Her boss. And wanted her. The aforementioned were all the reasons they couldn't be together. Until...she needed him. Her jerk of an ex had invited her to his wedding. The cheater would win if she didn't show up with someone. Hawk was perfect, hot, strong, and hated the guy for hurting her. So begins the change in their relationship. He's helping her out. When the situation calls for him to need help, can she be there? Will she?

Hawk Will Make You Swoon

I read and listened to this book. I truly enjoyed Hawk's sense of humor and his sexy banter with Britta. He's her boss, and her brother's best friend, but she's been crushing on him since she was a teen, and apparently the striking woman she grew into wasn't lost on Hawk either. So enter the douchebag ex, who she caught with her best friend before their wedding. Hurt and betrayed Britta threw herself into work but Hawk was keeping an eye out for her. This book has great characters, uber-alpha Hawk, sexy as sin Britta, the douchebag ex, her betraying best friend, and assorted brothers who would kill on Britta's behalf if need be. The writing is witty, quick-paced and fun. However, not all is love and fake engagements. There are a couple of twists at the end that make the reader think there may not be an HEA. The audiobook is amazing, Biff Summers' voice is so smooth and sexy that you want to find him and let him read everything in your life to you. Felicity Hart does a great job bringing Britta to life, she's feisty and bubbly. I truly enjoyed this book and will seek out more by this author.

3.5 Stars

New authors for me, and although it was an enjoyable read, it didn’t blow me away. I liked Britta, a lot, she was straight up, she didn’t take any cr@p off anyone, and I loved her attitude. Her brothers were brilliant, and of course are super protective, and their friend Hawk, who also happens to be Britta’s boss, is in their eyes off limits. Britta and Hawk are also good friends, so when Britta needs a fake fiancé to take to her ex’s wedding, Hawk is the obvious choice. The chemistry between Hawk and Britta is palpable, I love Hawk’s take charge attitude in the bedroom (well not just the bedroom, pretty much everywhere). The story has a couple of little twists that I didn’t see coming. All in all a light easy read. The narration from Felicity Hart was faultless, Biff Summers however, in my opinion, was not a perfect Hawk.
