Story
When your life is a hot mess at 20, it's cute. At 27...well, not so much. It's just that my lofty dreams - making it as a real estate agent, paying rent on time, showering daily - have stayed just that: dreams. Oh, and love? I've decided love might be a little ambitious for me at the moment. Instead, I've settled for the two guys who will never leave me: Ben & Jerry. That is, until Dr. Adam Foxe takes up residence as the town's new vet.

Story
I’m desperate and destitute when Lockwood Construction rolls into my small town with an offer too good to pass up: high wages to any able-bodied man willing to join their crew. Say no more. I throw on baggy clothes, tuck my long hair under a baseball hat, and apply for a job. Unfortunately, my half-baked idea of disguising myself as a guy is flawed from the beginning. As Shakira says, these hips don’t lie. Still, I like to think I might have pulled the whole thing off save for one thing: I know my boss.

Lucas Thatcher has always been my enemy. It's been a decade since I've seen him, but our years on opposite coasts were less of a lasting peace and more of a temporary cease-fire. Now that we're both back in our small town, I know Lucas expects the same old war, but I've changed since high school - and from the looks of it, so has he. The arrogant boy who was my teenage rival is now a chiseled doctor armed with intimidating good looks.

Story
Nicholas Hunt is the man I hate. For good reason. His opinion of me is tainted by prejudice even before my arrival at his grandmother’s estate, and my first impression of him is just as abysmal. His arrogance and icy demeanor make it clear that he’s the type of man who’s best handled at a distance. Fortunately, space shouldn’t be an issue inside this Gilded Age mansion and its lush gardens. If I stick with the servants and he keeps to his sailboat, we should hardly cross paths at all. Unfortunately, at Rosethorn, I find that all roads eventually lead to Nicholas Hunt.

Story
A full-length standalone romantic comedy from USA TODAY best-selling author R.S. Grey. Beau Fortier starred in most of my cringe-worthy teenage fantasies. I met him when I was a junior in high school, a time that revolved exclusively around bad hair, failed forays into flirting, and scientific inquiries into which brand of toilet paper worked best for stuffing bras. That is, until Beau moved into the small guest house just beyond my bedroom window. A 24-year-old law student at Tulane, Beau was as mysterious to me as second base (both in baseball and in the bedroom).

With Olympic tryouts on the horizon, the last thing 19-year-old Kinsley Bryant needs to add to her plate is Liam Wilder. He's a professional soccer player, America's favorite bad-boy, and has all the qualities of a skilled panty-dropper. A face that makes girls weep - check. Abs that can shred Parmesan cheese (the expensive kind) - check. Enough confidence to shift the earth's gravitational pull - double check. Not to mention Liam is strictly off limits. Forbidden. I've spent eight years wishing I'd fall out of love with Derek Knightley. Blowing out birthday candles, chasing after shooting stars, making it rain spare change into mall fountains - every time it's the same wish: Forget about Derek. But the day he walks back into my life, I realize there are two things time has yet to soften: my feelings for him and his chiseled jawline. It's infuriating that my heart still races when he walks into a room. I refuse to fall prey to old unrequited love, so I decide the less I'm around him, the better. Avoidance is key.

I'm not the kind of girl who has one-night stands. Except...I did. What can I say? After a few drinks with a gorgeous man who made me feel alive for the first time since losing my mom, I was powerless to say no. And I didn't regret it. Not one minute of our hot, mind-melting night together. But he wasn't a forever kind of guy. So I walked away. I wasn't supposed to ever see him again. Then I did. Turns out my sexy one-night stand is Dr. Jacob Mitchell - and he's the cardiothoracic surgeon who just saved my dad's life.

He’s my brother’s best friend, the hot single dad next door. And one accidental sext later, my massive crush on him is no longer a secret. It’s my own damn fault. I’m 30 years old, for heaven’s sake. I’m a kindergarten teacher and a (reasonably) responsible adult. I should know better than to get tipsy and draft a fake text listing all the dirty things I wish Officer Cole Mitchell would do to me. I wasn’t supposed to hit send. And he wasn’t supposed to see it.

Make Me Yours
- By Jade B on 08-12-2020
Publisher's Summary
A full-length standalone romantic comedy from USA Today best-selling author R.S. Grey.
Everyone in Cedar Creek, Texas, knows Jack McNight is an arrogant devil. Physically, I get it: he’s tan and fit, with coal-black hair that’s clearly been scorched by hellfire. Oh, and his personality? It burns just as hot.
When I show up on the doorstep of Blue Stone Ranch, I’m run-down and rockin’ my last pair of underwear. I’m hoping for a savior, but instead, I find him.
My opinion of Jack is marred by a dismal first impression, but his opinion of me is tainted even before I arrive. He’s heard I’m a spoiled princess there to take advantage of his goodwill. To him, I’m more trouble than I’m worth.
Our button-pushing banter should get under my skin. His arrogance should be a major turn-off. Problem is, devils are known to offer their own form of temptation.
Every one of his steely glares sends a shiver down my spine.
Every steamy encounter leaves me reeling.
Sure, it could be the Texas heat messing with my head, but there’s no way I’ll survive the summer without silencing him with a kiss and wrestling him out of those Wranglers.
Who knows...going to bed with the devil might just be the salvation I’ve been looking for all along.

Entertaining Story!
Once I started listening, I couldn't stop. This story was frustrating at times, and funny at others. This is a riches to rags story, and I couldn't be more pleased on how it developed. At some points I wanted to throttle both main characters, while still rooting for them. There was a special character (shotgun toting grandma) that I loved - she was my favorite. A very entertaining story.

OMG . . . LOVED THIS BOOK
What can I say about this book to truly convey how amazing it was? I do not often get a chance to review a book, but after reading this one I knew that I had to make sure that everyone knows how funny it is. This was my first R.S. Grey book and I loved it. Aiden Snow is wonderful. I don’t think I have ever listed to any of his narrations. But I can now add him to my list of narrators that I will look for. Aiden’s deep voice made Jack sultry and mysterious, bringing him to life. Carly Robins always does a great job as a narrator. She brings a vibrancy to her characters. Jack’s grandmother was the best. I loved her interfering in their relationship. I absolutely loved the story. I loved that Meredith walked away from a life that she realized limited her and led her to blaze a new path, and the path took her to Cedar Creek, Texas. This is a must-read. Funny, engaging and sheerly entertaining.

So much fun!
The woman can write a damn good book! I smiled through 90% of the book and when I wasn't smiling I was laughing. Such a great read. Er... or actually listen. I listened to the audiobook. It was fabulous. R.S. Grey has a way of picking the best narrators. They were so good. I loved their voices and delivery. Really well done! This is a light read, not something to be taken too seriously. I'm not going to nitpick the hell out of every detail and complain about the characters I hated or try to pick apart the abuse aspect (like so many other reviewers want to do). Fact is, the villains were great villains and the heroes were great heroes. In my opinion, it was perfect. The characters were perfectly imperfect and human. That's what I want. I want to read about imperfect people who don't always say or do the right things. So, yes, Jack was a jerk in the beginning. Guess what--people are jerks in real life. So, yes, Meredith didn't have a plan when she left. Guess what--people leave bad situations without a plan all the time. It's real life. Bravo, Ms. Grey! Loved this book! It's a solid 5-star read. Now I'm off to grab Make Me Bad, and then to devour all your other books. Please keep doing what you're doing!

Witty and wonderful!
What a fantastically written story! And the narrators were so perfect for the main characters. There was some serious verbal sparring happening between the characters of Meredith and Jack. And we cannot leave out Edith! Such a special brand of prickly she was; truly, the story would not have been the same without her. I really loved the uniqueness of this plot line and could not quit listening to it. If you like a happy ending to a story that makes you smile and feel all warm and fuzzy inside then get this book! It’s sort of a being mean to each other to friends to lovers kind of read and I loved every spicy word. Kudos to the narrators too! I loved the way they read Meredith and Jack and Edith etc., etc. All of the characters really. Of course, they had a wonderfully written story to work with!❤️

Wonderful story and performance! I usually don’t like the Southern accent in narrations because some people REALLY overdo it, but I enjoyed Aiden Snow and Carly Robins narrators. RS Grey narrators rarely disappoint! They’ve set a high bar for me and it’s hard to find expressive tones like theirs. These two are super cute and super sexy without going overboard, especially when voicing other characters. I’m glad that there was a good balance of male and female voices chapters.👍 Jack and Meredith are wonderful together even when snapping at each other lol Jack’s life is basically all work, no play. Heck, he saw his gf of 2 years only a few times a month! He had big shoes to fill and ranching is not easy, especially when he ventures into other businesses like winery and being a go-to wedding spot. I like the cute interactions amongst the ranch hands, Jack, and Meredith and how Jack’s jealousy gets the best of him. Meredith came into his life so suddenly and was quick to judge, but he’s a good observer. He sees HER eventually and not how she’s painted to be. Meredith’s life was great in the beginning, but she’s the product of money can’t buy everything. She learned that stuff was stuff and her leaving with nothing but the clothes on her body shows it. Grey does go a little bit into the mind of a survivor of verbal abuse, but not intensely. The psychology of abuse is extensive and while I would have not minded Grey going into it a little more, I’m glad the story focused on moving forward. Even though Meredith is eager to move forward with Jack, Jack understands how important space is and was willing to wait for her. He made his promise to be one of her people (explained in the story) and he loves her more than anything. The epilogue was a sweet follow up to their lives and depicts that there is hope after trauma. Meredith became strong on her own the moment she thought she was on her own and she still is with additional support from Blue Stone. A support group is always important for everyone. The only thing I’m confused with is her background of cleaning and cooking if her ex had hired people to do that stuff. 🤷🏻♀️ Maybe that’s what she used to do when she and her ex were not rich? It’s not a big deal lol but I was just suddenly surprised that came up. She was all of a sudden an expert at cleaning. It’s not rocket science, but it can be when using the correct cleaning solutions, tools, sanitizers, etc. Also, wish there was more Alfred!!!!!! Where was he in the epilogue?! He needs more scenes!!!!!! 😂

Life changing
I loved this book for personal reasons. Meredith is married to a manipulative narcissist. She finally one day has enough and leaves to run to her half sister who doesn’t have much faith in her. She needs a job and a place to live but her sister is away on vacation. She sets her up with a job and assumes she will go back shortly to her fancy life. Well.... This is where her determination really begins working as a maid on a farm. This book basically goes from enemies to lovers and has such a great ending!! The narration was so freaking good. Aiden Snows voice is smooth and silky. I could listen to it all day! Carly Robins is fantastic as well. Totally recommend this book. It has funny and serious moments and makes your heart happy at the end!!

Super-silly-ous
Lasted only 1hr 45mins when supercilious Farm/Ranch owner makes sweeping judgement on down on her luck Meredith. At their first meeting he and his staff are wearing uniforms, but when agreeing to employ her he allocates her to a broken down "shack in the woods" complete with rats and mice, and expects her to dress in caste offs - it's just silly. In 2020 no employer would treat an employee in that way unless they liked litigation. Love these narrators, and have enjoyed them paired up in previous books, but even they couldn't save this tale.
