About this listen

MULTI-CAST DUET NARRATION

I never planned to fall for my skeleton-masked captor, but now there’s no turning back.

I hated the gangs that ruled my city. After my friend was killed and my father vanished, I had no choice but to infiltrate one to figure out why. Entering their infamous club quickly showed me I was in over my head. Then the most feared gang leader took an interest in me. Arran was corrupt, deadly, and his searing gaze both terrified and tempted me. In my search for answers, I stumbled into his dark and dangerous game. The result? I belonged to him, with no chance of escape. In a heartbeat, I became Arran’s obsession. And in a terrible twist, I think he’s becoming mine.

Shane East, Allie Rose, Ella Lynch, and Holden Maddox make up the incredible cast of the audiobook for Arran’s Obsession. Complete with duet recording and sound effects, this is the first book in an interconnected dark romance trilogy featuring a murder mystery, a dark city, an adult entertainment club, and a crew of men who are possessive over what’s theirs.

Tropes:

· A masked gang and an adult club

· Possessive, damaged men

· Dangerous play (including free use and predator/prey)

· Forced proximity

· Set entirely at night

It was a shame that she was so vastly less skilled than the other narrators. It detracted from my ability to truly hear the story. Not since Primary School have I heard such obvious 'pretending out loud' (I cannot call it acting). The English voice person, with her exaggerated, child-like intonation was a constant dagger to my ears. I won't listen further. I despise everything about this book now. Why the hell do bad actors get jobs in audio? Their lack of skill is MORE painfully apparent when there is ONLY audio, where there are no opportunities to disguise it with visuals and music. Please tell me someone has stopped her from further ruining audiobooks!?

Very difficult to listen to one of the F narrators.

Quite liked this book and think the author has a great storyline but I just couldn’t get past the female narrator for the female role - she is great at narration but I don’t think her voice was best suited to this role and book - I kept imagining the quirky friend off the vicar of dibley when she spoke and not of a young attractive woman. Sorry!

Interesting story line - female narrator not best fit

I liked the storyline, I liked the narrators, I liked the spice. Cliffhanger ending into the new book was very clever.

Loved it!

I enjoyed the first half but the further it went on the worse the writing got and the more I realised how much of a rip off this book was to so many other dark romances. The female narrator was awful but Shane was amazing!

What’s not like about this book
Adventure an actual story.
Bad guy who’s good. I can’t wait for the next book.

Great story
