Get this one!

action-adventure, relics, humor, snark-fest, archaeology, suspense
Read from September 18 to 22, 2016

Who's more fun in action/adventure: Cussler, Indiana Jones, or Dane and Bones? Glad there is no reason to choose, but simply enjoy as many as I can!
David Wood has a prolific imagination and I have enjoyed every one of the Dane and Bones that I've read. Each stands alone very well. This one entwines known written record with fantasy and real creativity. See publisher's blurb for plot clues and skip the spoilers to get the greatest enjoyment of the suspense. The humor will have you snorting your coffee when you least expect it!
I used to get them in print, but the guys just keep liberating them from my shelves. Now I try to get them as audio. Jeffrey Kafer is the best when it comes to audio performing these or any other action/adventure novels.

A fun adventure

Would you listen to Ark again? Why?

Absolutely, I loved the story.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I love the twist and turns the story takes. Never knowing who to trust and what is going to happen next.

Which character – as performed by Jeffrey Kafer – was your favorite?

Bones! His performance of Bones never fails to entertain.

Any additional comments?

I love Maddock and Bones, I sometimes forget until I read/ or listen to another story and then I'm right back in the thick of things with them. The one liners are hilarious and definite laugh of loud moments. The story is intriguing and entertaining. It has a great mix of mystery, action and humour. David Wood's writing always entertains and keeps my attention until the last page.

Wish I had listened to more books in this series first!

Have ever watched a very good buddy movies like Indiana Jones 3 or Star Wars part V, and then realized you walked in the middle, I did that once with Paul Walker, Vin Diesel movies about driving crazy fast. The first one I saw was 4, I ended buying them all and watching them back to back, seeing 5 &6, &7 all at movies. Now how this relates to the book is that the is a high octane adventure for Noah's Ark with forbidden bible verse and underground tunnels, bad guys, rock people, It just keeps jumping. But down side, this is a middle book. So not a lot of time on character development which I guess was earlier in book one and two. Would love to back and hear from start.

Fast paced archeological action thriller!

Disclaimer: "This Audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audio Boom"

Narrator Jeffrey Kafer is the best! When it comes to audio performing, he is truly a voice actor. From male characters to female, or anything! -The characters are always fantastically performed! As expected, characters emotions and action scenes were wonderfully done! (*˘︶˘*).。.:*♡

This was my first taste of the Dane Maddock series. Being the seventh in the Dane Maddock series, it is a great story with an incredible amazing ending. Having no previous knowledge or familiarity with the characters, it did not disappoint me or leave me clueless. You get a sense of their lives, careers and family life. I loved the writing, descriptions to the point you could imagine the surroundings. To those checking out adventure books, it's best to read publisher's summary and skip the reviews altogether. You will not want to come across any spoilers. ('• ω •`) ♡
I wished the story was longer; as in "not ever ending". It starts with a quest to find a family treasure. After Bone's grandfather is attack by men wanting to know about the family secret, Dane Maddock and his partner Uriah "Bones" look into the family's treasure and legend. Clues lead them on a quest to find Noah's ark. Fast paced action thriller with humor, romance, religious artifacts, treasure hunting, secret societies, and mystery. I do however, want to go through it again. The writer mixes historical facts with fiction. Left me wanting to know a lot more about these facts, and always on the edge of what would happen next. I couldn't put it down. An amazing book for Teens, Young Adults and adventure lovers・*:..。o○☆

Dane & Bones Are At It Again!

Any additional comments?

I finished listening to this today, and the combination of a Maddock and Bones story and Jeffrey Kafer narration can't be beat. I really enjoyed the Noah storyline in this book and thought it was handled well. I am always sorry for these stories to end, as they are highly entertaining, as well as historical. Excellent job!

awesome adventure

a great adventure. Loved the entire story. The most memorable part was when they were being hunted by the red necks in the Georgian forest. The narrator has a great voice making the characters quite believable.

Adventure, mystical, and dangerous.

Have you listened to any of Jeffrey Kafer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Jeffrey Kafer excels again at his narration of these characters. Jeffrey never lets me down when I listen to his works. The characters are not as much voiced differently in tone and timber but in personality in their voices. There are a few distinctive differences voiced, yes, but most comes through in who the characters are and how they would speak with emotion. This has become so easy to differentiate which character is which in listening. I do enjoy Jeffrey's voice as narrator though. I could listen to him all day.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I find the connections of different histories and written history and mythology to be the gripping part of the story. The way Bones' family treasure leads to Noah and the ark then even another step even further is mesmerizing. I even pause when we get to these realizations to think on what we've crossed and that it all leads to this point. It does! I can totally see the line to this point with what we've learned. David has written the direction of events and the book to back the conclusions with great work. I'm amazed at this and enjoy it.

Any additional comments?

David Wood uses descriptions that make it easy for me to visualize the scenes. The descriptions of the swelling, crashing waves of sea in the prologue makes it easy to see them. And there are many details like this throughout the book.

I'm thrilled this story centers around Bones and his family. We get to meet his family and see a legend from his family. Cherokee. Bones is an individual man, and I love him this way. So, I really enjoy Bones as a character. And I think I might be jealous of Dima. lol.

I so enjoy Bones and Maddock's interactions. They work well together, almost like they know what the other one will do. They trust each other in the most dangerous moments. And they have a humor between them that makes me smile, and even breaks up the dire moments a bit to keep the reader light hearted and going.

This book can very well be read/listened on it's own. I have listened to a few with these characters and of who them mention, but that doesn't impact the story in the least. I do, however, want to listen to ALL the stories in this world after getting the impression of past missions as I really enjoy the characters interactions and friendships. There are many different divisions of groups that are allies or enemies (in a sense) and would love to see all interact.

I will be looking for all sorts of books in this world!
