Didn’t expect that!

I debated about getting this book for some reason, but I’m glad I did. It was up and down and up and down and twisting this way and that. And I enjoyed the ride.

Great book but dreadful narration.

This book is set in the Meagan's past (before the 999 phone call) and in Meagan and Oliver's present. It is a tale of domestic abuse and it's consequences. It has a really creepy feel with several twists and an unforgettable ending. This could have been a 5* book but I had to deduct a star because I absolutely HATED the character of Oliver. No one is that stupid And it sort of spoiled if for me. I listened to the Audible version of this but actually wish I'd read it. There are two narrators. James Langton does a good job but Heather Wilds narration is just dreadful. Her voice is monotonous and irritating. She may well be a robot as there is no emotion there at all. Such a shame :-(

Had to return half way through the second chapter

I could not get past how annoying the female narration was. Honestly, the most irritating I've ever heard. I'm sure the story would have been great.
