This is the second novel by Tobias Madden that I have read (well listened to). His work gets better and better. This story is so well thought out and has such a fantastic cast of characters that you will be sad when it ends. Friends who are high school age are always complex, and this story revolves around Luca who has a life changing accident which throws him into a world where he has to rethink everything. Lucky for him, he is surrounded by fantastic friends who are able to help him. The new directions he finds for his life are uplifting as are those that his friends find alongside him. Each influences the other, especially Amina. Talk about duckings and swans!
As always Matthew Backer gives such a sensitive performance.
I really recommend that you give this one a go, I think you will be like me and really love it.

Such a lovely feel good story and an excellent young reader book that can be enjoyed by anyone. Especially good because it is Australian. So well narrated and I hope to hear other stories by this narrator. Congratulations author.
