About this listen

Winner of the British Book Awards, Popular Fiction Award, 2007.

Anna Walsh is officially a wreck. Physically broken and emotionally shattered, she lies on her parents' Dublin sofa with only one thing on her mind: getting back to New York. New York means her best friends, the most fabulous job in the world, and, above all, it means her husband, Aidan. But nothing in Anna's life is that simple. Not only is her return to Manhattan complicated by her physical and emotional scars, but also Aidan seems to have vanished. Is it time for Anna to move on?

Some of Marian’s older ones have some dated references but her humour transcends eras! This was the first of hers with some heartbreaking themes but it’s beautifully done and the Walsh family is at it’s finest!

An old fave that is still good fun!

A walk through grief. I laughed and cried. I've walked the walk and found peace, It's a refreshing look at grief.

Loved, loved, loved this book. Beautifully written as always by Marion but thankfully not narrated by Marion. Dearest Marion - I am a huge fan of your writing but please leave the narrating to others.

Beautifully written as always!

Love the Irish accent of the narrator (especially the way she does Helen & Mammy Walsh). These characters are favourites of mine now & I look forward to finding about them all, not just the one the story is about but this particular story was very heartwarming & heartbreaking all at the same time.

Brilliant to listen to

I always love Marian Keyes books but I found the first section of the book ) Performance ) grating and so pleased the second chapter and third were narrated by someone else…. I’m looking forward to the next Walsh family saga….cheers
