Publisher's Summary
Jennifer's life is reeling out of control.
Now, there is no denying her feelings for Alex--or his for her. After spending one night together, he took her to heights she never thought was possible. The passion they shared in that one moment is something she can't shake, and it consumes her, throwing her off her game.
But this is no game. What they have is real.
Still, even as events start to pull them close together, other events threaten to tear them apart.
A threat is revealed. People aren't who they appear to be. And then there is their arrangement. Once, she was Alex's employee, the one woman who was hired to make certain he wasn't distracted from his work. Even though they are now in a committed relationship, what will that mean for Jennifer when she agrees to become his employee again? Will their relationship survive a threat meant to end Alex's life? And another meant to end her life?
Or will their relationship fail under the pressure to keep him---and her--alive?
This story unfolds over multiple volumes approximately 50,000 words each.

What a good story !!
If you could sum up Annihilate Me (Vol. 2) in three words, what would they be?
I love this series. Each book gets better and better. I love Christina Ross's writing style. Start with book one and enjoy and the story and the mystery unfolds

What a Cliffhanger!!!!!
If you could sum up Annihilate Me (Vol. 2) in three words, what would they be?
What a Cliffhanger!!!
Who was your favorite character and why?
I'm still going with Jennifer.
What does Reba Buhr bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I feel Reba Buhr has the feeling for the book. She makes the transition from Jennifer to Alex great but sometimes I did get a little confused when she went from one female to another.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes and I did!
Any additional comments?
Great second book! You better not listen unless you have the third book downloaded already because the cliffhanger would drive me crazy if I could not go ahead and find out what was happening!!!!

So on the fence with this series....
This is the review for Vol 1-2....
I like this story... love the h-character... but it is just lacking something. I mean... it has everything a typical romance book like this is supposed to have...but it is just lacking something...
In vol 1, it takes forever the drama and action to get started... I mean it's like chapter 6 before the two main characters even come together... And when they do, it like instant chemistry... no build up... No fighting or nothing... just sparks... then the CEO (our H) hires the h to be his filter girl...(to keep the wolves at bay).
They fight b/c the H tries to embarrass the h, and she is a pretty tough cookie and don't play that.
I like that about our h... her personality shines bright throughout the story...
Ok... so Vol 2, we spend yet again 2/3 of the vol for the H and h to reconnect. I mean seriously... can we get to the hotness already... O...by the way, there is no smexing in vol 1. We don't get to that till the very end of vol 2... WTF! Seriously... Idk... I just.. felt like so much of their problems could have been avoided if they would have just talked to each other, and let go of some of their pride...on both sides...
Anyway... like I said... it was a good story, (it not done yet either), but I just fill like there is something lacking... Idk if I will invest in the other volumes... maybe just wait until all the vols are out, and listen in one setting...
It's worth a sale... but I would save my credits or buy on something a bit more... satisfying...

suspenseful
I enjoyed this story, however the narrator sounds too airy for the characters. Otherwise, the characters play out their relationship like a business transaction, which leaves questions as to their motives for a relationship. Overall though, I enjoyed the suspense & the twist of the story.

Awful reader. Distracted by her breathing problem
Is it lack of exercise, exhaustion, emphysema, what?! Her breathing and breathy voice is too distracting to enjoy the book. I think the series is good, but I'm struggling with it because of the reader. She should either get that breathing problem fixed or find another field of work. I haven't experienced many readers worse than this one. Let me revise that. I haven't experienced ANY readers worse than this one.

I loved them both.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I love Jennifer and Alex, but Ms. Blackwell's wit always gets me howling.

Not impressed
Jennifer drove me crazy in this book. Complaining and insanely annoying. The first book was good but this one had my eyes rolling. I will not be continuing with this series.
