This was a wonderful book.
I’m not sure I’ve ever read a heroine with such a sad backstory - not to go into too much detail to avoid spoilers, but the way Annie had been treated growing up is horrifying to think about!
Yet over the course of the story, you get to see her grow and learn to love and accept herself.
A very interesting and different romance novel!
