Publisher's Summary

Tomi

Lovestruck or c*ntstruck?

Neither, I’m never letting a woman that close to me. I’ve seen what the Callaghan Curse has done to my uncles and I know for sure that my mom was one in a million. I’ll stick to going on runs and fucking biker bitches. Now there’s rats in my club and a web of lies being woven around me, I can’t afford to lose my head over a piece of ass.

There’s no way I’m being ‘struck.

No way I’m losing everything to a stripper.

Angel

With a fake ID in one hand and the keys to my dead daddy’s Chevy in the other, I roll up into Coldstone with a plan. Get a job, finish college, and never rely on anyone for anything.

Problem is the only thing I can sell is my body.

The stage of the strip club becomes a safe haven. No one can touch me there and the MC is brutal in how they protect their girls.

I was never expecting to find a biker of my own, especially one who’s made a name for himself amongst the other strippers by fucking them all.

Well, seems like he’s shit out of luck.

He can’t have me.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My first audio book in years, chosen based on reviews which were spot on so thank you.
I’ve read this book 3 times, love the story, love the characters and extension of Lips’ family world J Bree has created - no hesitation just a one click author for me.
Listening to this book I was moved to a lot deeper emotional level than just reading it. When listening to it I was forced to slow down and I think really take in the story as the author intended rather than my usual super excited speed reading. In particular the inner dialogue of Angels’ inner character, and Tommy’s - my eyes welled with tears in a couple of these moments, and rolled down my face in a couple more… gotta say the forced slower pace had me (even more) infuriated with Tommy’s almost one track mind with being ‘…..struck’. I knew what was coming so I kept with it, but what a d**k for over half the book. I now wish his ‘get his head out of his ass’ moment (the folder), was….more. Tommy’s character was upset about a couple of things prior (issue Lewis & Jamieson uncovered) and quite volatile in his inner dialogue - I get that he locked his ragey temper down, but the big reveal was a huge discovery which he was not expecting, considering his disloyal thoughts just prior. I wanted him to be moved to more. Even if it was just in private, maybe a breakdown in his bathroom or the hotel room next door. Still love Tommy and Angel together - one of my favourite rereads - this review is fueled by red wine so pinch of salt and all that.
I’m very glad I stopped procrastinating with my flat pack furniture boxes and chose this audio book as a motivator instead of music. I started listening mid-morning - put together 5 boxes of flat pack furniture, cleaned the bathroom, filled new chest of drawers etc etc..wine came this evening 😇😄
The narrators did such a great job. Maeve York especially with Angels’ broken inner voice that brought me to tears, the catty Diamond & co, and Poe etc, and Walker Williams with that cast of male characters that were just spot on, from Tommy to Rue, to Spec, the other club members, the Devil, and Ash, oh Ash 🔥🫠 Goo.😊
Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really good standalone dark romance

If you like dark MC romances this is a good one. A little mysterious and has you guessing a bit. Can’t wait for the next book.

Terrible

This is the worst thing I’ve ever listened to, I tried to persist but it is so bad I just couldn’t bare it a minute longer. Bland characters, 80s stereotypes, just terrible.
