Publisher's Summary

She did so much worse.
She doesn’t expect forgiveness. But she’s back in town with no other options and just wants to be left alone to live on the fierce Wyoming land she’s missed so much during her six years in prison.
Former Navy SEAL Gabriel Collingwood's call-sign may have been Angel, but he'll be anything but to protect his sister. Especially from a pretty ex-con who has somehow weaseled her way into a job at his sister’s new bakery.

Wow I really liked this one. I have listened to the first 2 books of the series prior to this one and I was really glad to get more depth of Jordan and what her life has been about and her struggles. This did not disappoint and I was so happy with how things ended up for her and Gabe!. Tom Campbell continues to do an amazing job.

I’ve been looking forward to Jordan’s story, and I totally enjoyed listening to it on audio. Loved Gabriel and Jordan and their relationship. The narrator does a great job with the male voice, but the female voice is somewhat weak. A suspense-filled, heartwarming read.

Love conquers all and has no boundaries.
This is one of my favorite books so far. I listened to the audible book first then I read this book on my Kindle. I truly believe everyone deserves a second chance and that’s exactly what Jordan and Gabe’s story is all about. I felt sorrow, happy, a little hot and bothered, anger, and many more emotions/feelings in this book. This book has action, romance, suspense, and the ex-military team we have grown to love with this series. My heart felt so bad for the cards that life had dealt Jordan. I am so glad that Violet befriends Jordan and gives her a job to help her get on her feet. I am so glad that the women of the Linear Tactical team never let her past affect their friendship and were there for her when she needed it. That is exactly what true friendships are all about- to love them no matter what. The love Gabe has for Jordan is so special and the way he wants to show Jordan her worth is heart warming. I loved the LA beach scene/date and it made my heart happy that he wanted to give her that experience and went over and beyond to make it happen. Just goes to show that there are wonderful men in the world that will do whatever they can to make the woman they love feel special, loved, and worthy of whatever they want or dream of. I absolutely loved how Oak Creek came together to help out with Jordan’s house. What a wonderful way for them to tell them they are sorry for the way they treated her and to show her that she is one of their own. I loved the exclusive extended scenes in the book especially the hot and steamy ones. The tampon scene between Gabe and Aiden was funny and I would have loved to be a fly on the wall to see that in person. The extended scenes also were helpful in learning how Jordan got into the accident with Becky and Micah McKay, which I always wondered about from book one, Cyclone. Can’t wait to read the other books in the series and hopefully read more about Gabe and Jordan. I wonder though, will Gabe’s friend, Ian, make it into a book or have one as his own since he’s going to buy CT?

My favorite of the series so far
Audiobook review:
Another story that I had read previously and I was anxiously waiting for the audiobook. Angel happens to be my favorite of the series (I've read all 8 so far) so when the audio was released I jumped right in and finished in one sitting. The story was as good as I remembered, but the narrator was so-so. Tom Campbell did a good job with Gabriel and the male voices but I had a tough time with Jordan's voice.
Jordan’s story is one I have been waiting for since she was first mentioned in Cyclone. We get more snippets of her in Eagle and Shamrock, so to finally get her story I was ecstatic!
Jordan has endured a lot in her 24 years; her mother passes away when she was a child, her father cheated and stole money from many people and businesses in town and after a horrible tragedy she was sentenced to prison for 6 years, all before she was even 18 years of age. She has been out for the past 3 months and life has not been any easier for her. Because of what her father had done, she is seen as a pariah in the eyes of many of the townsfolk of Oak Creek and they don’t hide their disdain for her, but she refuses to move away. Even with the difficulties she is facing, she is home and she has a plan in motion that she is adamant about achieving.
Then we have Gabriel, former Navy Seal, and older brother of Violet, Jordan’s new boss. And as the overprotective older brother, Gabriel has some reservations of Jordan working for his sister and he lets her know it. But something about Jordan pulls at him and he can’t seem to stay away. As he gets to know her, he sees the strength and fortitude it took to carry on with everything she had faced and his feelings for her continued to grow. So when he personally sees all the bullying and hateful actions towards her, he is so angry on her behalf, he decides to take on the role of Jordan’s guardian angel and be the one to care for her and stand by her side.
I shed many tears reading Jordan’s story. My heart broke for everything she had endured and reading how genuinely surprised she was by even the smallest gesture of kindness. And then to witness the gut wrenching scenes where trust becomes an issue for Gabriel, it was almost too much. But when the truth is revealed, he pulls out all the stops to be forgiven and do whatever that needs to be done to keep her safe from the danger that surrounds her.

Soooo good!
Angel, the fourth book in the Linear Tactical Series, is a fabulous Military Romantic Suspense. With each book, the series keeps getting better and better. The storyline is utterly engaging, fast-paced, and action-packed loaded with mystery, suspense, steam, and romance. The main characters are wholly intriguing, Gabriel, a former Navy SEAL, focused on protecting Jordan, our strong-minded and courageous heroine. I absolutely loved listening to their journey and was captivated from start to end.
Outstanding narration by Tom Campbell. He captured the characters' personalities, emotions, and the intensity of the scenes, bringing the story to life. Overall, this was an enjoyable listen, one I strongly recommend. I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook, and my unbiased review is voluntarily given.

easy listen
I had to know how Jordan gets on having previously picked up her situation in a previous book. The book was easy to listen to with a white knight solving all her problems but would have been MUCH better if Tom hadn't read it in such a monotone and the females voices are all whispery voices UGH! Initially I had to keep switching it off just because of the narration style but eventually finished it just to know how it all worked out - not one I will listen to again just because of his voice

The Sins of the Father!
Jordan Reiss doesn't expect forgiveness for her father's sins and she certainly doesn't deserve the love of a good man like Gabriel Collingwood, her employers hot brother.
Gabriel, call-sign 'Angel' ex Navy Seal doesn't want to trust Jordan, his sister's friend and employee but he finds himself drawn to her against his better judgement
When she is threatened he finds that he will do anything to keep her safe and prove that what she needs is a Guardian 'Angel' in her life.
Another brilliant Linear Tactical story with action adventure, romance and a feel good HEA.

Great listen as a standalone romance
Liked this book better the second time. I've been listening to the audios out of order and it really helped me enjoy Angel more. As a standalone its great. Much of the storyline takes place at the same time as the book Shamrock so there is a lot of repeat between these books. Since I have not read or listened to Shamrock in a long time, listening to Angel was fresh and new and I happened to now see why everyone else thought it was one of their favorites.
I enjoy Tom Campbell as the narrator. Great reading and male voice. His female voice is more of a whisper but since Jordan was a quiet women it worked for this book.
If I was listening to this right after Shamrock I would only have given it 3 stars as I would not have felt like I got a complete new story until it was almost half over.

Action packed and tender
Jordan Reiss understands why the whole town of Oak Creek shuns her. She was responsible for the deaths of their hero’s wife and son plus her father scammed them, stealing their life savings. Gabriel Collingwood pays her a visit to warn her off, he’s heard about her reputation and doesn’t want her anywhere near his sister. But he gradually finds her sneaking under his skin and starts to feel the need to protect her. I really loved this story, the whole cupboard under the stairs feel really did it for me. It’s the usual action-packed exciting type of storyline filled with tender moments you expect with Janie’s work. Can’t wait for Ghost. I voluntarily listened and reviewed an advanced copy of this audiobook. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Another fabulous Linear Tactical book!
Readers of the Linear Tactical series are familiar with Jordon Reiss, a character who has appeared in most of the previous book in a peripheral capacity. She is a woman who has suffered tremendously in her short life and totally deserves to find her Angel. Luckily Gabriel, though he starts off as being undeserving, grows into the role with exacting precision and flair, as only an ex-Navy Seal can.
Like the other books in this series, there is plenty of romance and action in this story. And like the other books, it is hard to press pause when listening to this book. You have been warned!

Angel
Another suspenseful story in the Linear Tactical Series. Jordan is probably my favorite character of them all so far because she has been treated so poorly by everyone and has had such a rough life. Gabe, though, was not very likable in the last book so I had a harder time liking him but he was much better in this story and won me over rather quickly. Fantastic romantic suspense!
I thought Cyclone and Eagle were incredible when I listened to them, and so many times a series begins to lose steam, but not this one! Angel is the 4th book in the Linear Tactical series and it's my favorite so far! Janie Crouch weaves a story around Jordan who we met in the earlier books. She knew it would be hard to start over in Oak Creek. After all, her father stole from so many, Jordan is going to take the brunt. But when things get tough, she just keeps going. When Jordan gets a job from Gabe's sister, he is bound and determined to protect her from Jordan. Until he meets her. Now can her Angel, Gabriel protect her from the danger that is lurking? This is action packed, and so contemporary it's easy to relate to. Jordan has been through a lot, and Crouch doesn't give her an inch. She has made her strong and resilient. She is mature and able to handle so much, yet your heart will go out to her and want to help. Gabriel is every woman's dream of the man you want to protect you. Smart, and never giving up, this man is the one you want on your team. I loved every minute of this one, it's romance, it's suspense and it's amazing!
Tom Campbell brings it with his narration. I am loving his voices and his storytelling. He add so much to the book with the inflections and emotions just at the right time, and enough to give you the feelings each character is having. He is consistent between books too, with cameos by some we have already met previously. It's a great listen!
