About this listen

Jenny Stone, a prosecuting attorney, finds herself in a precarious situation after concluding a major money laundering case. She notices she is being followed and decides to take a vacation to Italy to visit Warren Steelgrave, a distant relative by marriage. Upon her arrival, she confides in Warren about her fears and the thumb drive containing sensitive information given to her by a suspect, Jacob Colburn.

As they navigate through Italy, they realize they are being pursued by dangerous individuals connected to the case. Warren, a seasoned investigator and writer, uses his skills and connections to protect Jenny. They encounter various threats, including an assassin named Ahmed Arslan, who is determined to retrieve the thumb drive and eliminate them.

Their journey takes them through multiple locations, including Florence and Lucca, as they try to stay one step ahead of their pursuers. Along the way, they uncover a larger conspiracy involving money laundering and high-level corruption. With the help of friends and allies, they manage to stay safe and gather enough evidence to testify before a grand jury.

The story culminates in a tense showdown where Jenny and Warren must use all their wits and resources to survive and bring the criminals to justice. The narrative explores themes of trust, resilience, and the blurred lines between right and wrong in the pursuit of justice.
