Publisher's Summary

Lacey Terwilligers shock and humiliation over her husband’s philandering prompt her to add some bonus material to Mike's company newsletter: stunning Technicolor descriptions of the special brand of "administrative support" his receptionist gives him. The detailed mass email to Mike's family, friends, and clients blows up in her face, and before one can say "instant urban legend", Lacey has become the pariah of her small Kentucky town, a media punch line, and the defendant in Mike's defamation lawsuit.

Her seemingly perfect life up in flames, Lacey retreats to her family’s lakeside cabin, only to encounter an aggravating neighbour named Monroe. A hunky crime novelist with a low tolerance for drama, Monroe is not thrilled about a newly divorced woman moving in next door. But with time, beer, and a screen door to the nose, a cautious friendship develops into something infinitely more satisfying.

Lacey has to make a decision about her long-term living arrangements, though. Should she take a job writing caustic divorce newsletters for paying clients, or move on with her own life, pursuing more literary aspirations? Can she find happiness with a man who tells her what he thinks and not what she wants to hear? And will she ever be able to resist saying one…last…thing?

"Fun, entertaining and worth a credit"

Molly Harper always makes me laugh and this book was no different. A story filled with laugh out loud situations, an unforgettably feisty heroine and her signature sarcastic dialogue the book begs to be read by every woman who has ever considered revenge on the male gender. I enjoyed both story and narration. For me the partnership of Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi is a sure thing!
Cheers :)

He 'done her wrong' - but she got the last word!

It all started with a tipsy courier delivering flowers to the wrong significant other, what happened after that is......well, you'll just have to buy the book.

As usual Molly Harper's wonderful way with words is brought to life by Amanda Ronconi in another thoroughly entertaining romp.

The characters are all so real you feel you know them. Do yourself a favor and buy this book/audiobook. I guarantee you'll have a wide smile plastered to your face and even burst out laughing every once in a while as the story unfolds.

Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have read and loved all of Molly's books. It took me a while to read this one as it it did not fall into the paranormal fantasy genre, but so pleased i did eventually and sooo pleased.

When I fould them on Audio books I could not believe they could be improved, but the have been by Amanda Ronconi. It is as if she is really living the story they way she puts a whole new dimension to the script. I will be checking out all her other narrations now

Stella Molly Harper!

If you're a fan of Molly Harper you will love this new one. Has all the expected biting wit and laugh-out-loud humor, combined with with serious themes about second chances and starting over. I think I used to be married to Mike!! Perfectly voiced by Amanda Ronconi - this pair is the ideal combination. Ronconi's voice brings Harper's characters to life and when I actually read the books, I hear them in that voice now. This is not intended to be taken too seriously, but if you want a fun listen, you wont be wasting your time. Great fun!

Funny and enjoyable

I really enjoyed this book, it was a great little story and had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion. Its not deep and meaningful, but its super light-entertainment and some of the insults (spineless, dickless etc.) will amuse me for weeks to come.

A perfect blend

Which character – as performed by Amanda Ronconi – was your favourite?

Lacey, but they are all done well with varied voices.

Any additional comments?

I listened to this book via the audio version because I’ve come to love Amanda Ronconi’s voice, and between her and molly Harper’s humour I am guaranteed a good read every time. This book was the perfect mixture of romance, conflict, sex, and humour that I usually expect from this author. I loved the characters, even the cheating Mike had a well-defined, three-dimensional persona, making it such a good, easy read. Lacey was the sort of protagonist you can love easily, with her self-deprecating manner and clumsy, bad decisions. Monroe was a nice character, maybe not as strong as he could be, but when the author delivers a hot, Wolverine-like man, who are we to bitch?

Buy it

Would you listen to And One Last Thing again? Why?

I love Molly Harper who always makes me laugh. Truly she has a real sense of humor in her writing which is rare these days. Enough romance to make everyone happy but with quality writing rather than just the 'kissy bits'. My only complaint ...I think her husband deserved it & I hate the 'fall out' from friends & family.

Stand alone novel with a light touch

A stand alone novel about Lacey and her family and the aftermath of finding out about her husband's affair. Overall, the book was narrated well, although there was little distinction between the men's voices in that they mostly sounded the same. That apart, I enjoyed the story and enjoyed Lacey's fight back after the shock of being cheated on. The story was well paced and built to a satisfactory ending. There was no huge surprises, but I wasn't looking for one, just a good tale. I'll be reading other books by Molly Harper in the future. Oh, and can I read the novel Lacey started writing please?!

An absolute joy!

Oh my goodness it’s been a long time since I enjoyed a book so much. This is great entertainment, the writing is brisk with brilliant dialogue (there was more than one occasion where Lacey said something I didn’t see coming). The characters are great but the narration is such that they become even better. Thoroughly enjoyed this book and will be off to find others.

Perfect tonic

I love Molly Harper books and they are the perfect read when you’re feeling a bit stressed or down. They are not deep or philosophical but they make me laugh out loud and have fantastic female friendships and truths that are seriously uplifting. I really wish that I knew some of the women in her books. And some of the gorgeous men as well, obvs 🙄. Amanda Ronconi is a narrator of genius and a perfect match for the material.

I adore Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi

Ms Harper's books are always a delight, in this one she takes the painful subject of discovering her husband having an affair into a comedy of errors. Lacey Terwilliger discovers her husband Mike's affair with Bee Bee his office administrator purely by accident. Horrified that everyone else knows about it she retaliates in the most spectacular fashion. Mike's accountancy business has always issued a news letter and the latest edition is hot off the press. Instead of going via the usual postal route this one goes out via email to ~300 family and business contacts. In it she tells the world about what Mike and BB have been doing and where and how often. She follows this up with walking away to the only place this is hers, the cottage at the lake. Here she meets and irritates Lefty Monroe an author who is trying to write his latest crime novel but gets side tracked by the crazy lady in the cabin next door. Love it
