This is the story of Isabelle Martinez and Breed enforcer Malachi Morgan who also happens to be coyote. She captures his full attention in a bar and when she boldly approaches him the result is that he now knows she is his mate and he will do anything to have her and protect even if it means going against orders and her family. The blossoming of love between the two is heart warming as they deal with the all consuming need for each other and outside forces that try to tear them apart. I highly recommend this story and the series as a whole best I’ve come across for a while.

Brilliant

AUDIBLE REVIEW
The narrator is not one I’d have chosen for this series.
I didn’t enjoy listening to the previous two books I purchased, so I borrowed this book from my library just in case and unfortunately, I still don’t feel the narrator is doing this series justice.
Though it is an extremely difficult series for just one narrator to get all the different voices correct.
She is unable to make me feel like I am along for the ride and to differentiate between the characters.
Malachi’s voice in this was just too weak. I always imagined his voice as deep and intense.
But the story itself, wonderful. Especially the beginning with the sexual tension between Malachi and Isabelle.
Played at a faster speed for my listening enjoyment.
But I did end up buying it as I like to have a series if possible. I will say I have bought and listened to more since I first listened to this book and if one just ignores the narrators’ idiosyncrasies.
BOOK REVIEW
For such a short story it packs a lot of diversity in.
Malachi and Isabelle are two of my favourite characters in this series.
Malachi and Isabelle’s story is also the start of some really important changes for the Breeds.
We have the search for a cure for Amber running in the background. The situation with Gideon chasing after 3 girls and 1 guy from his painful past. And the beginning of the story of what happened one fateful night and how the Navajo Nation has been directly involved with helping the Breeds for years.
I have a real soft spot for the coyote breeds due to fact that some have not followed the training dictates of the council but have kept their honour and integrity.

The narrator is not one I’d have chosen.
