Mixed results
I had mixed results with this boxset. Maddie Wade's writing is good. I enjoyed the storylines, with the exception of how quickly some characters fall for each other. I enjoyed the military style references that come with a black ops group and thought Wade captured this well. I especially enjoyed the linked storylines between each book in the series, I thought they flow well from book to book. Narration was mixed across a boxset. I particularly enjoy narration which uses different voices for different characters. Across this boxset, narration on book 3 (Reid) was the best (5/5) with character voices/accents being well portrayed, including those of female characters. Narration on books 1 and 2 was good with that on books 4 and 5 being just ok, given this, I persevered with completing the boxset as I was invested in the story and writing. I'd recommend this boxset for the writing despite the mixed narration.
