Brilliant characters, great sorry telling as always, I’ve read every book and loved them all and this one is superb.

Kept me coming back for more! Loved and hated some of the characters which made it more intriguing!! Wish there was a part 2. So sad it ended.

Listening in audio version, there were too many minor characters named. On a few occasions I would have to pause to recollect which minor character was who. In real book format I’d flick back and skim read to work out who was now in conversation, or in the scene with the main character/s. But doing this in Audible isn’t easy.
So even though I listened daily, I’d have to pause the great storyline to work out who was now in scene with the major characters.
Also the main Hollywood actress character did not consistently, or even often , have a US accent and sounded like the villagers.
So, lovely plot and characters, but would have been easier to follow with another voice in the mix.

If you are a regular reader of Jill Mansell I don’t think this book will disappoint. Jill has found a formula which works - a number of characters with interwoven stories, comforting predictability with a few surprising twists, and everyone finds love. I read a Jill book every year and every year I enjoy it.
Thanks Jill, keep them coming.
