Publisher's Summary
Is America a source of pride, as Americans have long held, or shame, as Progressives allege? Beneath an innocent exterior, are our lives complicit in a national project of theft, expropriation, oppression, and murder? Or is America still the hope of the world?
New York Times best-selling author Dinesh D'Souza says these questions are no mere academic exercise. It is the Progressive view that is taught in our schools, that is preached by Hollywood, and that shapes the policies of the Obama administration. If America is a force for inequality and injustice in the world, its power deserves to be diminished; if traditional America is based on oppression and theft, then traditional America must be reformed - and the federal government can do the reforming.
In America: Imagine a World Without Her D'Souza offers a passionate and sharply reasoned defense of America, knocking down every important accusation made by Progressives against our country.
Provocative in its analysis, stunning in its conclusions, Dinesh D'Souza's America will be the most talked about audiobook of the year.

We can think for ourselves
If you could sum up America in three words, what would they be?
Thought provoking facts
What did you like best about this story?
Each of Dinesh's claims is clearly stated first, followed by alternate schools of thought, supported by searchable facts and clear explanations, then summarized. Dinesh's debate style and presentation is impeccable.
What about Walter Dixon’s performance did you like?
The narrator did an excellent job reading this book.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Over and over again I found myself thinking, 'I need to come back to read that again and save that fact to memory so I might be able to offer it to others who have questions similar to my own about the current state of our nation and what our Constitution and Bill of Rights says about each topic'.
Any additional comments?
Well written and narrated. Informational and so very important. As a citizen of the USA, I need to know and understand these topics and facts.

Why Our Constitutional Government is Great!
The current wisdom among progressives is to bash the United States of America telling of all the supposed evils done by American Republic. Dinesh D'Souza shows quite clearly that though the USA has its faults the US bashers do not show the full picture of history. When everything is taken into consideration there is no question that the freedoms we enjoy could not have occurred without the foundational principles established by our founding fathers.
He also shows that the Socialist societies that the US haters hold up as examples are when fully examined NOT the direction that we should want to go in, but that we want to get back to the original intent of the founding fathers.
I highly recommend this book for lovers of America so that they may confirm what we have know all along, and for America haters so that they might hopefully have their eyes opened to the truth of the matter.

What every American should know
What did you love best about America?
The truth, the history - a real eye opener.
What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
The story was told as it is.
Which character – as performed by Walter Dixon – was your favorite?
Obama as the Lucifer
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
The movie is already made
Any additional comments?
Each point was well-researched and poignant. Like a skilled orator, seemingly every claim Dinesh D'Souza makes is more powerful and daunting than the last. By the time you are done listening your worldview should be changed forever.

Refreshing view of America's greatness!
What made the experience of listening to America the most enjoyable?
Hearing the story that in this generation has gone untold. It is so refreshing and enjoyable to see things from what has become the underdog view of American as a nation that has made mistakes, some terrible ones, but none that are unusual in the history of the world. Helped me understand how the American Constitution was written to correct abuses and preserve the freedoms of a fundamentally good people.
What other book might you compare America to and why?
Any of the well written books that give a conservative and honest account of the facts in the face of the overriding anti-American propaganda that has become so mainstream in the so-called "Progressive" political machine.
Have you listened to any of Walter Dixon’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I read a negative comment about the reader, but I am totally impressed with him. He is definitely an expert who read so well that I had a picture of D'Souza in my mind as I listened to him. D'Souza could probably not have sounded more like himself! As written, as read.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The book is a wake-up call that causes one to see how far down the wrong road we have gone in this country.
Any additional comments?
This book is not for the person who is so politically motivated that he or she can no longer even consider what is true. A dangerous place to be, but a common location these days in America.

Screw You Costco!
Would you listen to America again? Why?
Great author who tells the truth that the progressives do not want anyone to hear. Costco removed this book from all their stores and immediately the book went to #1. You can NOT keep the American people quiet. Liberal intolerance will be stamped out every time!

We have forgotten our great heritage of liberty!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I highly recommend this read/audio to every young person especially in collage. American academia made a disservice to you young and have largely left out our great heritage. I also recommend it to any immigrant who wants to understand how America has contributed to the world.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Dinesh D'Souza is very gentle and logical in his narrative. You got to appreciate this spirit of overoptimism.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No. There are many facts one needs to digest.
