Publisher's Summary
Debbie Macomber dazzles in a contemporary update of Snow White. Despite the picturesque view, it’s a kiss that turns an unlikely pair into a fairy-tale romance.
A mountain cabin. A moonlit night. And not a stepmother around to spoil the moment. For a burnt-out grad student looking for a little fun, this camp is paradise...well, almost. With seven mischievous girls in her cabin, Sherry White barely has time to whistle while she works. Then there’s the camp director, who may be the most gorgeous man Sherry’s ever met - and the most serious too. Even after they share a perfect kiss under the stars, Sherry wonders whether they’ll ever see eye to eye.
When Jeff Roarke founded his camp for gifted children, he had a vision of rigorous education and self-improvement. Now Sherry is about to ruin everything with her insistence that kids need to let loose and play. Sherry’s minions are driving him crazy, but the worst part is, Jeff’s beginning to think that resistance is futile. Because Sherry is messing with his agenda, his head...and his heart.

Not a whining idiot female character!🙂
Ok, I do not write many reviews but I decided to this time because this was the first romance I listened to in a long time where the female character was a relatively normal person. I like a variety of books and have been a long time Audible member and I love the Audible escapes,
That being said I get so tired of listening to books where you have a female with a great job, great friends, perfect body, blah blah..you know the drill. We all have faults but so many of these characters then act like 16 year olds when it comes to men. They whine because the men cannot read minds, they don't tell them how they feel or they avoid men or sex because of some deep dark dumb issue. Like because I have read too many romance novels I believe that there is only one true love and he died so at the ripe old age of 30 I will forever be alone. 🤦♀️ So in this book the female character is quirky but not an idiot and same with the male character. Good to know that men are not perfect right? 🙌 We also know going into it that they will live happily ever after, because well this is a romance novel and we know the ending before we even push play.
I just appreciated the the author didn't drag out a ton of unrealistic junk. I believe that if you like romance and the happily ever after without all the whining then you should like this one! Good luck 🙌

Couldn’t finish it
I’m sure the story was good as I’ve enjoyed all of Debbie’s novels thus far but the narrator has the worst voice. Tried slowing it down and speeding up - nothing helped. It was enough to distract from the novel itself so unfortunately I was unable to finish it.

Heartwarming halarious genius kids camp -
A genius kids camp you will never forget! Hilarious, heartwarming and zany. You will fall in love with Shari White and her seven wizards. You may also fall in love with Jeff Roarke the handsome hunk camp director, but is he too much of a "brainiac" to become a prince? Narrator Amy McFadden breathes charm into every character.

An enjoyable listen
Yet another good classic story from Debbie Macomber. I am glad to get the opportunity to listen to her older books. I enjoy this author a lot. The narrator was good as well. This one isn't my favorite one of the ones I have listened to so far but I did enjoy it. I think others will enjoy it as well. I recommend this author to anyone who enjoys a good romance read. She never disappoints me.

RomanceReader
Loved the book. Even though I thought Roark was a bit over the top with losing his temper so often I understand his need to keep the camp on the up and up. But the fiery clash of “opposites attract” relationship that burned between Roark and “Miss White” reminded me of attraction to my now wife thus it made for a fun light read, or listen.
The narration was great with the many voices she was able to conjure up as well as the different emotions. I will listen again.
