Nice story, took a while to get into, as they developed the characters I thought it was a romance but doesn’t seem to be.

If you love a good mystery involving canine rescue and that’s all you’re after - it’s worth a read. I’m not so big on the canine rescue even though the dog characters were lovely. Anticipated the end and while somewhat as you’d predict, just fell flat for me. Really wanted to like it more.

I love listening to canine rescue books, but this one was a church sermon. If I’d wanted religion shoved down my neck I’d have read the bible myself. I wanted a good crime novel. That isn’t this book. Very, very disappointing. Will not be listening to any more of her books.
