Where as the first book was about Kenzie & Finnick connecting, this one is more about Kenzie & Ash. A lot of the sex in this book is hinted at. Kenzie has been told her whole life she had no magic but when it comes to protecting those she has come to care for, Kenzie discovers she is actually more than anyone thought. Really loving this series.

I loved the first book of this, it was fun, inventive and a little sexy with some adventure and heist thrown in. So I bought this one hoping for more of the same, and it's not. Kenzie is more and more a brat more than anything, and all the guys with their sob stories are so self obsessed it's boring and repetitive. I'm halfway through and nothing much has happened, just a series of agro conversations that randomly become making out. Dnf which I hate when I paid actual money for it, but it's just making me cranky.
