About this listen

A direct sequel to Aliens and Alien 3—Weyland-Yutani, the Colonial Marines, and Bishop’s creator all pursue the android for the deadly Xenomorph data contained in his brain. Written by T. R. Napper, author of the acclaimed 36 Streets, whose explosive work explores the artificial intelligence and what it is to be human.

Massively damaged in Aliens and Alien 3, the synthetic Bishop asked to be shut down forever. His creator, Michael Bishop, has other plans. He seeks the Xenomorph knowledge stored in the android’s mind and brings Bishop back to life—but for what reason? No longer an employee of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, Michael tells his creation that he seeks to advance medical research for the benefit of humanity. Yet where does he get the resources needed to advance his work. With whom do his new allegiances lie?

Bishop is pursued by Colonial Marines Captain Marcel Apone, commander of the Il Conde and younger brother of Master Sergeant Alexander Apone, one of the casualties of the doomed mission to LV-426. Also on his trail are the “Dog Catchers,” commandos employed by Weyland-Yutani.

Who else might benefit from Bishop’s intimate knowledge of the deadliest creatures in the galaxy?

I really enjoyed TR Nappers alien bishop story, and it was the characters and plot that kept me pushing through the audiobook. but the narration choices made pushing through this book a hard slog.

the narration could have been excellent by having different narrators each sticking to their own characters to bring this audiobook into a new level of voice acting but instead I was bitterly disappointed with each voice actor solely performing each character in their pov. it took so much away from the story. with Apones POV voice being really difficult to swallow. would be avoiding this voice actor in the future, im sorry to say.

keen to read more of TR Nappers work & hopefully the next audibooks are Narrated better

Story? Great! Narration? Hard pass!

Slow start, good finish. Well narrated. Some of the attempts at Australian accents were amusing.

Slow but ends well

I'm sorry I really wanted to give this a good review.
I love Aliens and the Bishop parts in this book are awesome don't get me wrong. But that's one of the problems.
He's a side character and HIS name is the reason I picked the book up in the first place, it doesn't really feel like it's his story but a story of others also that you just don't care about because they just aren't that interesting.
The Australian girl in it Carrie or some something (which at first I loved being an Aussie myself) Started out ok but then becomes this 'Woe is me' style of character and also just becomes flat out unlikable, hense why i cant rememberher name.
and no its not because she's attracted to women (also another bloody cliche nowadays) but I was annoyed to read her chapters.
I know lot of people are giving this heaps of stars to parts that deserve it being Alien fans but I've read and listened to alot of books now and I'm tired of saying great to shit that's sub par.

I never give reviews and I have a large library.
this sucked to write it really did.
Sorry but thems the breaks.

How quick I was turned off.

Boring storyline and the narrator is just overdoing the voice and emotions … such a disappointment
