Publisher's Summary

From the first moment I see Mason Boone, I can't take my eyes off him. Everyone's got a different story about the gorgeous, silent man in chains. He's a hero, a former Navy SEAL. He's a fugitive, on his way to a court martial. He's a loner, a mountain man who hasn't spoken to another soul in years. But when our plane crashes deep in the Alaskan wilderness, he becomes my only hope. I'm an FBI agent and he's a prisoner, but to survive the wild animals, fierce weather, and unforgiving terrain, I must put my faith in him.

Staying alive means staying close: but every time he touches me, I melt inside. I can't resist this man, not when he looks at me as if he wants to push me up against the nearest tree and tear my clothes off.... Is it possible that he's innocent? Can I help him overcome the demons of his past? I'm a city girl but to survive this I'm going to need to learn to live as wild as him...because the greatest danger we face isn't from nature. The other prisoner from our flight is out there with his gang...and they're hunting us.

Not for me

I didn’t hate this book, I liked both the main characters. I skipped though a lot of the book and it really didn’t affect the story. I’m glad I listened to the end but for a while there it really didn’t seem like I was going to get there.

Not Crass, Not Dirty. What? Its a real love story?

Yeah this has a few nasty words, but they are appropriate. I'm so tired of reading junk that uses every swear word the author can think of to complete the story. This one is a full story, a very good story and a very good tale of love.

This is a new author to me, and Im going to look at her list to see if there are other gems like this one. This is my fav. book in some time, and I read / Listen Alot. Way to go Helena!

Heroin is too stupid to live

I like the narration of this novel and will be looking for more from Scott Thomas; I enjoyed his deep voice.  Emma Wilder was also excellent, and I have already added a few of her other titles to my TBR pile.

Alaska Wild has a lot of 5-star reviews, but for me, it is more like a 2.  It has a heroine that is too stupid to live most of the time, and  I was shaking my head at the supposed hero.  A little bit of a spoiler here, they are being chased by the bad guys and managed to get away, and they know the bad guys have a drone.  But instead of continuing to evade and keep moving they make a fire in a huge clearing, then proceeded to fall asleep so the bad guys can get the jump on them.   What kind of Navy Seal is this man supposed to be?

There were a lot of instances that I was shaking my head going WTF is the author thinking?  I seriously almost DNF after about halfway through, but I kept thinking to myself, this has to get better.  With so many 5 star reviews it just has to.  Nope sadly not.  The beginning sucks you in, and then it just goes downhill from there.  If you don’t mind total unrealistic scenarios and yelling at your characters for their stupidity, then, by all means, give it a whirl.  For me just nope.

Oh I love books set in Alaska! This book was already going to get lots of stars for setting alone but the story was so good too! I love Romantic Suspense and this had so much of both. It was exciting, sexy and sweet. The narration was also great.

wonderful love story with some drama

this wasn't a funny, drawn out romantic comedy I usually crave.... it was better. An FBI agent stuck in the wilds of Alaska with a criminal to help her.. so good! the story line was perfect, the narrators did the most amazing job! the author also did an amazing job! this story has the adrenaline going, the I've story plot and just the right amount of drama. I wish the ending was rushed but it was really rushed... I guess I wanted more. Im so greedy. overall, worth a credit! couldn't stop and didn't want to miss a word!!! well done!!

Alaska Wild

I started this book after a really heavy book and I thought oh this will be a little light reading.

Hahaha, it was great and suspenseful. I wasn’t sure about the beginning I thought oh dear this is to the stars a line for me the way this chick is going on about this guy but then I got it.

I loved how Mason just his himself. And how he knows where he is and where he is going but when he meets Kate it all just goes out the window. His is smitten but knows nothing can come of it. I think I loved how he is so quiet.

Kate’s gut instincts are really what drives her to trust even if what her eyes tell her one thing. I think it really was what worked best and that is something I enjoyed. She has GUTS and even when she was afraid she pushed through because that is what you do.

The chase is pretty intense and you will be yelling go go go and oh no no no. I enjoyed this book and I am so glad I took a chance on an author I have never read before.

Loved the narration it was so perfect for this book I have no other words.

do your research

I couldn't get very far as I was so distracted by the complete lack of knowledge about Nome. A little research would have shown the author there is no huge forest, the trees just don't get that big of they grow at all. Then, the whole plane crash and flight didn't seem to describe a charter plane in that part of the world. Please, either do your homework or write about places you have actually been to.

Alaska Wild

Good book. Had me on the edge of my seat in some places. Only reservation I had is everything not completely coming together in the end. I’m not adding any spoilers. How did the “guy”, who wrongfully accused Mason, finally fess up? And how was he brought to justice? And Kate was a little bit annoying at times, but not too much.
Other than that, narration was well done, and writing was good. I enjoyed the book.

I Like it

It is a interesting book, well written.
There are some situations that sounds a bit unrealistic but overall everything, that happen in the book, seems possible for a Seal and an Fbi agent, they have trainings that common people do not have.

Just amazing

This is the first book I’ve tried by this author and I decided to listen to it.

Narration was A +++++ by both characters.

Wonderful story, set in the Alaskan wilderness. Lots of plot, fighting bad guys, surviving in the Alaskan wilderness and good connection between H&H.

Highly recommend. Available on whispersync.
