Pepino, das kleine übermütige Eichhörnchen, begleitet die Feuerwehrleute zu einem neuen Einsatz. Ein orkanartiger Sturm hat viele Bäume entwurzelt oder abgeknickt und die Feuerwehr muss Straßen und Wege freiräumen. Als Pepino hört, dass der Park, in dem seine Freundin Jala lebt, vom Sturm besonders schlimm betroffen ist, bleibt ihm vor Schreck das Herz stehen. Hoffentlich ist Jala nichts passiert! Jetzt hat er es natürlich besonders eilig, zu seinem Rettungseinsatz zu kommen. Aber das ist nicht das einzige Abenteuer, das auf Pepino wartet...
