a bunch of anecdotes & songs delivered on a stage to a live studio audience. so not a book but the anecdotes are as good as most star-studded biographies. not a musical fan, more a fan of Alan's from his movie/tv work, but he has a stellar voice, some great accompaniment so I was able to enjoy the majority of the songs regardless. Like anything Alan does - full of heart.

Excellent "show tuney", very warm and easy to listen to. Alan made his point about immigrants poignantly and was spot on.

I was expecting spoken word but this was mostly a live performance that was recorded, with songs included and there are some interviews at the end. Alan is funny and has a good singing voice but I’m not one for show tunes, really.
