Story
You think you know me. That's the way I want it. Making you feel like we know each other - like we could go grab a beer sometime - is part of my job. Maybe the most vital part. It doesn't hurt that I'm easy on the eyes, single at 35, and born richer than sin. My aesthetic matters much more than it should, but all the better for my worthy cause. And it's a worthy cause. I've made an art out of making you feel good, and my influence makes you want to be good. Good like me. You think you know me, but you don't. Everyone has secrets. Mine could cost me everything.

Story
My love story all started with a letter. Only it wasn’t from the man I’d eventually fall in love with. It was from his daughter. A sweet little girl named Birdie Maxwell who’d written to the magazine that I worked for. You see, once a year my employer fulfilled a few wishes for readers. Only that column didn’t start up again for months. So I fulfilled some of her wishes myself. It was harmless…so I thought. Until one day I took things too far. While anonymously granting yet another of Birdie’s wishes, I got a look at her father.

Story
Julian was the boy next door. My brother's best friend, he fit with my family in ways I never could. While he and Rhett went on to play house, I left the only life I knew, desperate for a fresh start. Until everything changed. Heartache came along, and the aftermath of my brother's death was here to stay. I was now face to face with Julian more than I ever wanted to be. Being around him brought up all my insecurities, forced me to deal with hard truths, and conjured up feelings I had no business entertaining. He wasn't the man I thought I knew.

Every bartender should follow one simple rule - don't go home with the customers. That’s been easy for me to stick to, until the night a cocky, confident, and sinfully charming hockey star walks into my bar. This sexy athlete is too hard to resist, especially when he makes it clear how much he wants the “sarcastic, witty, hot AF” guy behind the bar - also known as me. Still, I’m not keen on breaking my own rules since I know where that can lead - no place good.

When Talon left to play pro ball six years ago, the hole in my chest confused me. I focused my heartache into making my own NFL dreams come true, and by the time I was drafted, the longing I had for my best friend was buried deep. Now, he wants everything to be like it was in college, but we can't have threesomes and be reckless like we once were. The media storm would be enough to break both our careers. That's not my biggest concern, though. The torch I had for him burns brighter after so long apart, and there's nothing I can do about it. Marcus Talon is straight.

Publisher's Summary
The heartrending conclusion to the On My Knees Duet, a forbidden MM romance by USA Today best seller Ella James....
For years, I've kept his secret. When he called, I answered. When he needed, I gave.
Then he went dark.
I tracked him on Instagram - like his 16 million other followers. When being on the planet with him, separated by his secrets, felt like torture, I moved on. But Luke McDowell wouldn't let me go.
He says he doesn't want me, but we both know that won't hold.
By the end of our story, he'll have taken everything.
The question is, what will he give?

Easier to follow than the book - Christian fiction
I bought the combination Kindle and Audiobook. The story is told in first-person POV from 3 viewpoints. The Kindle version was very hard to follow since the author doesn't use the word "said" and you have to keep a close eye on who's turn it is to speak. The readers perform their person's POV and change their voice to perform the voice of the other characters so the lack of "said" is not an issue. I returned the Kindle version since it was so hard to read. I wasn't expecting Christian fiction and Luke being a Tele Evangelist was not included in the description. The story even includes a portion of a sermon. I would not have purchased it if I'd known. I did not read the first book in the series and the second doesn't stand alone well. There is a ton of angst and it sounds like there was even more in the first half. Between the excessive angst and the style choices, I would not read anything else by Ella James. Her intended readers are probably New Adults and that doesn't include me. I enjoyed Aiden Snow's performance. Iggy Toma was a little nasal for Vance but he did a good job switching to Luke's persona. Rebecca Gibel was fine for the female character but her male voices were lacking.

Best Duet of the year
5 Blue Roses 4 Blue Flames Dual Narrators Charlie Thurston and Aiden Snow gave an extraordinarily good performance, delivering the Best Audiobook of the year. Their voices fit the characters perfectly. Listeners will be pleasantly surprised by the amount of emotional investment into the unexpected, but the most appreciated tension and drama. Both narrators possess dangerously sexy deep baritone voices, they know just how to wield them. Knees will buckle, hearts will palpitate and endorphins will over productively pump. Never have I ever felt like jumping and screaming like a “Beatles crazed hooligan”, but the perfect cadence of their voices, the total absence of any irritating weird shit makes me want to scream “come listen here, this is what an audiobook should sound like”. I review both audiobooks as one because let’s face it, it is one story. The second book follows exactly where the first one ended. I am extremely glad they were released together. Another ugly hooligan scream from myself: “hello everyone, here is how you release audiobooks chopped up into two books” If they were not, the effect would have been so much more watered down. Who goes to the movies and are told halfway through, that’s it everybody, take your shit and go, we will let you know when the rest will be playing. Because you are all idiots and we treat you as such. I don’t want to spoil anything, for my fellow listeners. My review is general in nature. The protagonists meet by accident and they are thrown together for an unavoidable hot and wild night. Due to their life’s circumstances, they can’t be together, but just as a compass leaf with a needle on top, floats to point north, so do they magnetically float in each other’s direction. It’s so fucking beautiful I want to cry all over again. Yip, another hooligan cry! Kudo’s to the author for expanding the depth just a little deeper, for making the plotline that little bit more interesting. It was almost like riding on a Ferris wheel, without being told to get off. I am now a fan of Ella James. I do recommend this audiobook. Happy Listening

Sex and Drama
Vance and Luke are one passionate couple ! These two have sex on the bed, on the floor, on the shower, on the kitchen counter, entrance door , at the garage, against doors, in cars , at the paint shed -inside the church compound, where Luke is the pastor and Vance is the sculptor and painter doing a mural - they do it everywhere with a stamina of super humans. They're definitely hot for each other. So , the storyline goes like this: Luke and Vance have sex , some OW drama happens , it gets blown out of proportion. So , they have more sex to forget about it then some church drama happens and they have more sex . Drama and Sex . Sex and Drama makes the world go around and around, and Adore , book 2 of the On My Knees duet NAILS IT ...just like the Vance and Luke . Iggy Toma and Aiden Snow performances were dramatic , over the top , very passionate and intense... Soap- Opera like . These two narrators delivered their lines with conviction and gusto. Rebecca Gibel did great when she voiced her female character. She had the right tone , cheerful and supportive just like the character is described but her male voices were pretty bad. In conclusion , I was entertained.

Intensely addictive!
One of the best pair of audiobooks I've listened to in a very long time. I was so engrossed in it that my 10 mile walk flew by. Really enjoyed the story line and the narrators were spot on. Of course, I could listen to Aiden's sexy voice nonstop. Although I'm not a fan of duet audiobooks with a continued story line, I was glad these were released on the same day. I understand it's additional money for the author, etc but it's annoying especially when one of them is under 5 hours. I hope to see a lot more M/M audiobooks from this author preferably all in one audiobook please.

Perfect ending to this series.
I really enjoyed these two characters. So not flawless. Vance as an artist and so free and knowing what he wanted from Luke. Luke somewhat a lost soul but in the end pulled himself up by his bootstraps. Love ever flowing even with the gaps of time. Finding out how Luke wasn’t really handling the divide he put up between them but coming out in the end.” Hoping there will be a follow up for this story.

An unusual story
Definitely read/listen to the first book of the duet before this one! I struggled a bit with this duet. I enjoyed the characters, mostly, and increasingly as the story developed. But I did have a hard time with PL, finding much of his behavior early on rather disturbing. It becomes more understandable as things go along, but it bothered me. The pairing is unusual and unexpected but does seem to work. It was definitely dramatic, and I often like things a bit lighter, but it was not overdone. I did find the sex games to be a bit over the top and not to my taste, which is highly unusual as I enjoy all sorts of writing including extra steamy, m/m, and bdsm stories. I don’t want to spoil the story because it is so unexpected, so some of this may seem a bit vague. All in all, an enjoyable duet that is never quite what you expect.

Everything! Of everything
All the feelings! Anxiety, hurt, frustration, fear, hope, sadness and of course the love! And the sex! Hot! I’ve been crying, laughing, wanting to scream in frustration and aching for those two guys. The only thing that should be different is that the two titles in this series is one book! I think it was strange to divide them into two. Aiden Snow and Iggy Toma make fantastic performances to bring Luke and Vance come to life!
