Publisher's Summary

Based on previously unpublished documents, diaries, notes, photographs, and dramatic interviews with Hitler's colleagues and associates, this is the definitive biography of one of the most despised yet fascinating figures of the 20th century. Painstakingly documented, it is a work that will not soon be forgotten.

Long but compelling

This is a long listen but it’s very thorough in detail and well worth the listen if you are interested in military history. I learned a lot about Hitler during this book. In some instances it was clear that his thought processes were genuinely good, especially in the early years .. he turned Germany around but then the tide changed and he was more interested in acquiring countries and things went downhill from there and of course we all know how it turned out for Germany then. It can’t be doubted that he was a brilliant orator and if he had of used his powers for good instead of evil he may well have gone down in history as one’s if the worlds greatest statesmen.

Sad but true.

Before I listened to this book I really didn't like Hitler but by the end of the book I felt like everyone around him didn't realize how much help he needed for his mental health.
