CFRE primary resource

This is the primary resource for CFRE preparation. I found it helpful to accompany the physical book while I studied. The narrator speaks slowly so I listened at 1.25 speed.

Content is good, Reader not so much . . .

This is clearly a textbook regarding fundraising, so you cannot go into it expecting something riveting. The content is informative, but having the physical copy of this text would be much better if you actually need to study these materials or think you will ever refer back to this text. Additionally, the reader is not an amazing performer to say the least as his voice is slightly grating in a haughty/patronizing kind of way.

Wow, what an annoying voice.

I was hoping to enjoy a lecture-like experience by listening to this book instead of reading it, but yikes, Chris Sorensen's voice is so nasal and whiny. I can't imagine listening to 24 hours of him. Really disappointed that I wasted a purchase on this audible.

An Essential for Fundraising Professionals

As an emerging Philanthropy Manager, I can say this book was an absolute must in establishing a broad and solid foundation in the subject. I am sure more advanced development leaders will also learn considerably since the book contains valuable info on fundraising's many angles.
