I accidentally picked it up,
Quite a good story, liked it, voice acting can be difficult but a good listen anyway, I would recommend more as a read, audio is ok

Excellent storyline
Great work Iris! Thoroughly enjoyable story with interesting characters, will definitely continue with the series. The narration was a little painful at first, but persevered as I did want to finish the book. That being said, I'll continue with the series in print format, as I found the plot refreshing.

Okay
So annoyed with Athena and how she puts her mother down consistently and thinks with 16 years she knows better all the time.
Only half way through but really annoying me.

the story is good however I was wondering if it was aimed at teens / young adults.
the narration is not good. it has put me off purchasing the rest of the series.
I may order the kindle versions and read myself.

Great story - awful narration!
It was a fun story but the narrator made the main character sound like she has emphysema and most of the characters sound the same.
I persevered because I wanted to know what happens next, and I’ll probably get the next one however it’s very disappointing casting.

Liked the story but the narration wasn't the best
The story was enjoyable, but the narration didn't fit this book. It made the character seem twice as old as she is and slow in the head.

Hard to listen to
The voice actors voice is great. However the choice of voice for the protagonist was not great. I will not be listening to the rest of the series, because instead of sounding like a woman coming into her magical power, she sounds like a raspy old man with emphysema, slow and old. Being the main character it's a deal breaker. Let me know if this changes so I can take it up again.
