Publisher's Summary

Accidentally engaged. Then he dared me to make it real.

It was one freaking kiss with a stranger. I wasn't looking for a hero the day Brent Eden charged into my life. He saw a damsel in distress facing humiliation. We played pretend. Swore I was his. Baited sweet chaos. Blew apart everything.

My dating disaster? Gone. Our kiss? Electric. Divine. Toe-curling. His mistake? Oh, boy. Dropping the ultimate F-bomb: fiancée. Especially when my gossipy cousin tells the whole family.

Forget how he's badass personified. The ink. The leather. The abs. The smirk. The lightning eyes and the growl I can't resist. Nothing changes the fact that he's my favorite student's father. I'm risking it all for this charade. And I'm losing.

The closer we get, the deeper I fall. The louder he vows to protect me. The more we come undone. Even my questions have questions. What if I'm not the only one who needs saving? What if our marriage mistake gets way too real?

From Wall Street Journal best-selling author Nicole Snow - two hearts, one lie, and no mercy! Plus a damaged single dad who just can't let his "Not Fiancée" go. Full-length romance novel with everything of which happily ever afters are made.

Pleasant...

If you like the Grizzly MC Club series, this is not the same as those at all. It does, however, take place in the same world, and our hero has a history with the club, which was quite interesting to hear/learn about, and while the plot was simple, it worked. This is a good read for anyone looking for a light, sexy, and somewhat emotionally charged read. The only problem I had with the book was the fact that the heroines family is putting so much pressure on her to get a man. And it wasn’t cute or funny at all, it was actually really annoying, and it felt like the story was telling the reader that being independent is great and you should go for it, BUT you will also need a man to make whatever you do valid and to be taken seriously. Naturally this rubbed me the wrong way, and thus! My real rating is 2 1/2 stars. So if you want a somewhat light read with great sex scenes and great narrators, pick up this book!

poorly written

This was my first Nicole Snow novel and I was extremely disappointed. I'm thankful it was part of the escape package and didn't cost me a credit. Remedial writing and poor narration. The male voice did not fit the character and the female voice could not adapt to multiple characters.

Holy Hot Book Daddy!!!

I Just Loved Brent and Blue (Izzy). Brent is the Perfect mix between Hero and Anti-Hero. You can just feel The Veneration he has for his Daughter and Blue just seep out of him. Blue is the Perfect Mix Between Sweet and Cutthroat. I loved how her Surrogate Mama Bear built up and came out in the end. The only Downside is that you were given just enough of the Supporting Character's stories that left you wanting to know more about them. I feel that this book should of been made into 2 books to tell more of the parts of the story that were important but left open. I was left with a lot of questions like.... What happened with the School? Was douche bag alive? Is Clara riding on the back of a Harley now? Is Blue Teaching art? All in all the book was worth the credit. It had all the great elements you want in a romance book with a good balance between them all.

Great listen

I really loved this story. Well crafted romance. Almost a light biker romance, since the H was previously a biker and in the army. So he had a bad boy alpha vibe to him. The h was strong as well as quirky. Took me a bit to get used to the female narrator, Rose, but I am a big fan of Mason and loved his narration. Also, unusually, he had at least half the story, maybe a bit more, which made me very happy. I listened to this with audible escape. But for me it would have been worth a credit. I will listen to the next in the series.

Not enough story

If you’re looking for hot sex scenes, you’re golden. If you’re looking for the supposed plot action and excitement, skip the first 2/3’s of the book. And even then, the plausibility is non-existent. I did listen to the end, but with several fast forwards. It’s not that I don’t enjoy sexy books; it’s just that I need more story and non-sexual excitement to round it out.

Everyone needs a hero.

I like this story a lot. It was entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were interesting and relatable for the most part. I felt like Izzy was way nicer than I would have been with the way that her family treated her. Isabella Derby is a preschool teacher and a substitute Art teacher. Brent Eden is the parent of her best Art student and when she needed help, he stepped up. Isabella had gone on a date with a man that she had no intention of seeing again and when he didn't want to take no for an answer, Brent stepped in and said that they were engaged. He also kissed her and that kiss was amazing. Unfortunately, Izzy's cousin finds out about the "engagement" and being the HUGE gossip that she is, she proceeds to tell their entire family. Brent plays along to help Izzy out, but the more they pretend, the closer they get. Will they be able to handle NOT pretending to be engaged anymore? There are a lot of feels in this story. Natalie is so sweet and talented. Brent was talented even if it was in a naughty way. Izzy and Brent were great together. The three of them together was sweet and definitely a great start to a new family. I loved their happy ever after and I recommend reading this book. Or listening to it since that is wonderful as well!

🌻I swoon for a devoted single father 🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 Overall, I really enjoyed this romantic tale. The Hero is hot, protective, loving single father of a gifted daughter. The mother died in childbirth and Dad completely changed his life to provide his daughter a good life. He definitely has an asshole side, with how he sometimes deals with the Heroine, but eventually figures out the error of his ways. The Heroine is the preschool teacher type, (because she is one) with an intrusive family that is often cruel. She meets the Hero and his daughter while substituting for an art teacher. The Hero is aloof until he witnesses the Heroine being accosted and his Alpha, protective nature takes over and he steps in to save the day and do their adventures begin. Of course, his daughter is secretly playing matchmaker, in the background, and all is progressing well until Dad’s MC past comes back to haunt him. At this point, there is a bit of a mystery to be solved, a dirty cop to be exposed and cartel to crush. Of course, things work out too well and there are some cheesy moments, but there isn’t emotional distress or broken hearts and sometimes this is exactly what a romance lover needs. I didn’t need a single Kleenex, during this one, and sometimes this kind of story is a welcome reprieve from the emotional roller coaster so many writers take you on. To me, it was definitely a worthy Escape Package listen but I won’t likely spend a credit to add it to my library, permanently.

Accidentally found a fun author.

I first read NO GOOD DOCTOR by Nicole Snow and loved it. So I tried ACCIDENTAL HERO and enjoyed it too. I found the heroine Izzy very relatable and likeable so it was easy to sympathise with her. The hero Brent was also likeable, but older, alpha and a protective dad, so I appreciated his perspective on life. Their chemistry worked for me. With a touch of intrigue and a fast-paced romance, this novel was entertaining. I look forward to more by Nicole Snow. Narrator Rose Dioro is a delight and she makes me love the heroines she voices. I love Mason Lloyd from another author’s series, and I’m afraid I’ve type-cast him as a beloved Ice Planet Barbarian and for a long while expected him to produce horns and show blue skin. It took time to adjust to him as the hero in this book. If you are not familiar with his other work, this won’t be an issue for you. Mason Lloyd is a class act. Once my mind accepted him in this new role, I loved his narration even though to me he sounds older than the model on the cover.

Bit cheesy but an easy listen

The narration is great. A bit cheesy and the time frames of historical events etc don’t make sense but good, easy romance listen.
