Publisher's Summary

Penny Sanders knows nothing about football, much less anything about a second string quarterback named Eddie Jay Lennox. All she knows is that there is a handsome, athletic stranger walking around her bookstore, and she is curious about him. When she goes over to talk to him, she doesn't expect to get into a deep discussion about dreams, happiness, and reevaluating one's life.

Soon, Penny finds herself head over heels for this hard-working, insecure football player, and she is excited for him when he becomes the starting quarterback for his team. But as his fame increases, more stress gets put on their relationship in the form of nosy fans, vandals, and the possibility of leaving her beloved hometown.

Penny may have been lonely, but other than that, she had everything she had ever wanted before she met Eddie. Can she handle his lifestyle? Can she handle making the sacrifices she needs to in order to be with him?
