Garbage

Nothing but an 8 hour rant. Also, all of this was reported before this book was even published! No new insights.

Interesting listen with some new insights.

Whilst I've read a lot about Trump this was a different view from someone in the administration so worth a listen. Whilst it was no shock to hear of how pathetic Trump himself is I did take some offence to the author's position on what to do about it.

The ending, that talked about potential removal of Trump, and the authors position that it would wait until the election was a dangerous and shocking position given how they spent the majority of the book telling us he was not a good president. How can one say that, know what trump is doing (inviting foreign interference etc) and still hold that position? Beyond that strange ending the rest was a good read.

Wake Up America

I listen to this and I struggle to understand how so much damage has been done to democracy’s shining light by one man.
Anonymous make a strong argument for the American people to oust DJT in November 2020 by electoral process and try to regain their republic, their self respect and their international credibility before it is too late. At the moment, the world regards the actions of Trump as the actions of Trump, but if the American people return him to The Whitehouse, the world will then judge the people who returned him more harshly than then man himself.
Thank you for the warning. Well told and well sourced.

A warning for everyone

Every American whether democrat, republican, independent or somewhere in between should read this book especially before November 3 2020. The world needs a strong US led by a strong president not one who is insecure, petty, juvenile and damaged

Insightful imagery

I really enjoyed listening to this. As a survivor of narcissistic abuse I find this guy intriguing. I’m far enough removed that I can objectively understand behaviours that mirror what I was too close to see in my situation. The incoherent circular logic, the flying monkey enablers... so much of what this author observed resonates as truth. And as a side note, for those that appreciate the bible, read 2Tim 3:1-6. Point for point I think you’ll find it very interesting.
The reading is done well... too bad they couldn’t get Stephen Colbert on this tho.

A Definitive Synopsis of the Idiot Boy.

The first question I asked myself was, who is Anonymous. If you study the mannerisms, The complex history of his discussion, his intellect level and his Christian beliefs and understanding. That this person was in Trump's circle from the start and survives till today. One can only think "Mike Pence". Am I right or do you have another person.

A Warning, by Anonymous, is a must-listen for anyone who has an interest in the US political situation. It is almost nine hours of oration describing an extremely flawed person, I have come to call Idiot Boy. A challenged, sad person who suffers from Narcissistic personality disorder with a massive dose of delusions of grandeur. Who in my opinion is controlled by Platov (Putin)?

I found A Warning valuable in understanding that Trump is a critically damaged individual who by Grif, gained the most powerful job on earth.

A Warning is exactly that, A warning of what may happen if the USA does not wake up. Being a student of 1930's Weimar Republic, this book outlines many of the same behaviours that brought Hitler to power. an event the world vowed would never happen again and here we are repeating history
READ THE BOOK make an informed decision and tell me who you think the author is >...

Superb and very disturbing

This is an extremely articulate and well argued account of the Idiot in Chief and his band of spineless sycophants presented by an insider with pure intentions.

A must read for all political persuasions and especially conservatives who really need a wake up call to save everyone from this nightmare regime.

An interesting book with next to no surprises sadly as it sounds as bad as expected.

Author deeply cares about the country

1) The author reminds about the meaning of the common ground.
2) Trump is even more dangerous (yes that’s possible) than we think

A must read

Nothing new here

same same , anyone who follows Trump's ridiculous rise to power understands the repetitive nature of this book. Oh and it hasn't been proofed very well. NATO stands for North Atlantic Treaty Organisation not American, but for someone working within the Trump WH it's hardly surprising they think the world revolves around the U.S. Don't buy this unless you want to use it to put you to sleep.

A really good book, depressing, but well worth it.

The book pertains to be written anonymously by a high ranking member of the present Donald Trump administration.

Throughout the book, the author continually references:

1) The ancient Greek philosophers, Homer, Virgil, Cicero, etc, on how people in government should deport themselves;
2) The philosophers of the Scottish enlightenment, particularly Hume, whose writings are the base of most, certainly a big chunk, of the Ameican Bill of Rights and Constitution;
3) The precedent of other American presidents, particularly the impeachment of President Andrew Jackson.

The author of this book is clearly well read in both philosophy and history. I'd have though that they, the author, would stick out like a "sore thumb" , given that throughout the book, the author, he or she, has a not so flattering view of the other people, who presently are members of the Trump administration.

Hopefully, history will eventually reveal the author of this book and it'll be interesting to see that in fact, if they were as they state "They're the only adult in the room!"

A really good book, depressing, but well worth reading!

Interesting listen. It’s worth it

Great book. Everyone should have a listen and balance it with what others have written and what you see day to day.
Interesting debate about the state of American society.
I don’t agree with the comment that Donald J Trump is a reflection of America today. Based on the fact if someone lies continuously purely to dupe the electorate then that is not American. A compulsive liar likes to create smoke all the time to confuse and make people give up. Americans should not give up

Interesting. Frustrating. Damning.

There was no way around it. I had to read this book out of pure, morbid curiosity.

Anyone who has been following the Trump presidency will likely be familiar with most of the anecdotes presented here, there are really no surprises and the book almost certainly feels as though it has been watered down in an effort to preserve anonymity for the author.

This book manages to confirm all of our suspicions about Trump, as well as the accuracy of the reporting of Trump's mindset and petulant behaviour.

On one hand it is genuinely interesting to read the account of somebody on the inside, but on the other hand I found this an incredibly frustrating read. The fact that somebody could be on the inside and willing to admit how unsuitable and dangerous the president is without having the conviction to speak publicly. Ultimately I don't see how this book really helps matters. It is difficult to take a person seriously who is unwilling to speak openly.

I am conflicted about this book, I wanted to read it and am glad I have, but I was rather angry and frustrated by the accounts within it for most of the book.

My money is on Mike Pence being the author for what it is worth. Hopefully time will tell.

Terrifying.

This is the most powerful man in the world, and he is an ignorant, self serving thug, with no moral compass, and no social skills. Heaven help us and America.

Anonymous is a patriot, but is no hero

You can tell from this book that the anonymous author clearly loves his country. He (or she) is a patriot. You may also agree with him about the qualities of a good moral leader.

Anonymous tries to make a persuasive case against Donald Trump. Whether he succeeds or not will depend on your own political bias perhaps.

My own guess is that the author is an ex-military person with foreign policy experience and a deep knowledge of history. So for me, the most likely person to be the Anonymous writer is General "Mad Dog" Mattis. If not Mattis, then General Kelly.

However, the author is no hero. You get the feeling that he is more of a neocon conservative than Donald Trump. If the author had his way, he would likely have taken us to war with North Korea or Iran. So in a way - I don't agree with everything he says.

Book is nicely narrated and very easy to listen to. 4 out of 5 stars.
